  2. It is fast and easy to convert videos to Xvid4, MP3 audio & 480 pixel height. (FYI, I typically use Xvid4 with quantizer 4, single pass. MP3 Joint Audio 128 kbit, and whatever horizontal resolution matches with 480 vertical) The issue I have is the complete lack of video listing when playing off of an SD card. Would it really have been that difficult to add a file name listing menu?
  3. 1. Unzip puis copier ce fichier au sd card pour mettre l'Avic en "test mode" http://avic411.com/forum/download.php?id=4696. 4. Strange that they are still not fullscreen after being converted AFAIK there is no way to force resizing of the vids during playback, however converting mine preferably to V-size of 480 makes them all playback as full screen. (As long as H-size is no greater than 704. Somewhat arbitrary, but I believe that the AVIC will not play any vids larger than 720...too lazy to check the manual) Here is an example of one that should play back with full V-size: http://www.2shared.com/file/4827001/a3e ... iddle.html 640x480 Xvid MP3 constant 128kbit

  6. VSS is vehicle speed sensor It allows for GPS "dead reckoning" when the GPS doesn't receive a good signal (like in a tunnel or downtown surrounded by tall buildings) f900bt/f90bt have VSS, f700bt doesn't. It doesn't even have the components on the board to support it if the VSS external wire was hooked up.
  7. I popped the top on my f700bt to see if it was possible to hook up the VSS wire...it isn't Also, the CDRom/DVDRom is a half height (standard tower size drive) which means there is quite a bit of wasted space compared to if they used a laptop height drive. The CDRom in the f700bt uses a non-standard ribbon connector so you can't just buy an IDE or SATA drive and exchange it. I took pics, but wouldn't be able to upload until I get my camera back after New Years.
  8. Wow that was quick! Thanks so much for making these, they are much better than anything I could ever achieve myself AND you make it easy
  9. Thanks, but the newest download doesn't seem to be working on my f700bt. I haven't had time yet to take a look and see what could be causing it to hang (Please wait...then reboots) Checksum of downloaded file: $ md5sum DATA.ZIP 716cd85be9719cf20983f2eca4c534e3 DATA.ZIP
  10. I've used a 16GB without any problems, and I'm pretty sure it will work with 32 GB max size. SDHC (SD 2.0) only supports up to 32 GB, then they need to update the spec.
