How are everyones iPod playlists' setup? I tried to create ones called A-C, D-F etc, but when I dragged songs to them , I dont see artists view, just by track... Thanks.

its a phone limitation, not the Z1. and its really not even the Windows Mobile devices. its the really shitty bluetooth controller used on the Treo650/700 Its the same one. It works better on the 700W than the 650/700P with palm Palm cheaped out on it, and that is why we had so many problems with other car kits when the 650 came out. I have an audiovox6700 WM5 PPC and it works fantastic with the HU.

my 650 did the same thing with an old headset I had with a CID screen. it will only do it if.. the phone is paired, and you ignore the call from the phone, rather than the headset/headunit. try it, see if thats what causes. it was mostly always the last call I had.

Ive been looking, but unable to find this option.. I remember reading that you could choose the side where the BT audio comes from... Which menu is this under. I swear ive been to every menu and just cant find it. Thanks -Matt

I used to have a GPS antenna and Sirius antenna in my car, they were under my fiberglass top (jeep wrangler). They will work just fine, so long as there is no metal. Line of site will work through glass, plastic, etc. Just not metal, steel, aluminum, etc. Its not IR so its not 100 percent unobstructed view, its just not covered by metal of any sort.

Just wanted to make a note. For those of you killing your selfs with the fixed iPod cable, never fear! I see the last post you drilled a hole and cut a groove to allow the cable to slide down. In places where you cannot do this, removed the 2 screws on each side of hte ipod box. They are the ones over the black, not on the silver. The lid slides off, and voila, there is a removeable connector that is for the ipod. This will enable you to drill a really small hole to get the cable through. Bring it through and you have a very clean install. No warranty stickers were cut either, so they wont eve

seriously, even for us that have done cars. Just pull it out you will be able to measure it with your own hands and eyes and tell us how it works. We cant see it, so it may not be a good reply. Pull it out, try to fab it up, take pictures, then submit it asking for suggestions. Showing us the radio in the dash, without the rails in the shot makes it difficult. No. this just means that the BT chip in the z1 is 1.1 compliant. It will still communicate with 1.2 and 2.0 phones. Its all in how the driver is written. The difference between 1.1 and 1.2 is things like AD2P, which would have let us stream music, in stereo, from our phones, to our radios. Since it is just 1.1, it will only communicate with OBEX and HFP (Hands Free Profile). The reason some phones work not as well as others is how the BT driver is written for the phone. I think the 700w limitation is palm hardware. Palm in the past with bluetooth has used rather poor implementations of the "bluetooth stack". The other WM5 devices should not have an issue. Bluetooth is only as good as the drivers that are in use on the phone. I would say that palm may come out with a BT stack fix, like they did for the 650. But I could be way off. When I get mine fired up and installed, I will do a full test on the PPC-6700/Verizon 6700.

There seems to be alot of confusion and I know this board is small, so I will wait patiently for a response. Will there be much difference with a sirpnr1 to an sirpnr2. I dont really care for icons or sports stuff, so long as I know what channel im on, and whats playing, im good. They seem to be a 30-40 dollar difference on ebay, and I dont mind the pnr2, but if the Z1 wont make better use of it, Id rather get something else. I will be gettin the II version of the iPod link since its all best buy sells and I have a buddy there to get it for me for ~55 bucks. Is there a compabili
