  1. If I shift into reverse during startup about when the red Pioneer logo comes up my screen gets stuck in rear camera mode. I have to either put it in reverse right after I start the engine or wait for the OK screen. PITA. I have the latest firmware.
  2. The SMA wifi extension cable did not work. The gender of the pin is opposite one the GPS antenna. Really screwy. The threaded end has a pin on one and hole on the other. Same for the nut end. I don't know of a solution now.
  3. I understand Pioneers liability, but do they really need much more than a label?
  4. The software asks you to apply, unapply, then apply again.
  5. Yes, you would have to flip the switch every time you selected a screen that requires parking brake.
  6. You may be able to wire it backwards to switch ground.
  7. If you want the light to work you will have to set the parking brake to + trigger if you can. The switch has pos and neg inputs for the light and outputs pos 12v.
  8. Is the connector on the GPS antenna a standard SMA connector. I thought about using this: http://www.amazon.com/Hawking-RP-SMA-TO-RJ-SMA-HAC7SS/dp/B0000DIESO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1310062648&sr=8-3
  9. I like it but I use it mostly for pandora. It has issues but manageable and worth the trouble.
  10. I decided to go ahead and connect it to the parking break. I thought I would see how inconvient it was. I don't need to view video while driving. However, the PITA apply, remove, apply every time is stupid. Looking for a bypass. I don't understand why Pioneer makes it so difficult.
  11. Yes, seems most if not all apps send audio. Video too if the app has video out.
  12. Netflix works fine. I haven't tried others. I have not bypassed yet so it only works with the parking brake on.
  13. Got mine installed. Seems to work ok. I didn't play with it a bunch but I like it so far. I was able to play Pandora in the background even with MotionX running. iPod control is clunky. After running an app, to select another from the radio you have to select appradio on the phone again. Some oddities but good things too. I will give more details later.
  14. Finally read your blog. Wow, what a bummer. Now I don't know if I want to install it. I didn't think it could be worse than the F series.
  15. I'm sure it will easier to run Pandora than my F90BT. I have to pause a iPod track, then launch and control pandora from my phone. All I use my radio for 99% of the time is Pandora and FM radio. I look forward to installing my new radio I got today.
  16. I think it is geared towards me. I have never used the optical drive on my F90BT. I prefer the up to date maps on my iPhone more than the head unit. Pandora and FM is all I listen to. My pandora has never pulled more than 1GB of data a month (I'm still on AT&T unlimited). The only thing that world make it perfect for me is if it would mirror the iPhone screen with touch input. I am looking forward to getting mine tomorrow.
  17. BTW its part number is SPH-DA01.
  18. Well they finally updated their site. So did Crutchfield. It is also available from Amazon. Specs are up too. A little of a downgrade from my F90BT but has the essentials. I think I will order one.
  19. The timer counted down and nothing. There is a printed ad in Crutchfield but nothing online. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/AppRadio
  20. No, it says the exact name I tried to enter. "Magnolia". I tried some more at lunch, no address would come up. I may have to reload the firmware update.
  21. I just realized that I can no longer find address since upgrading to 3.0. I will try to find an address "123 magnolia" but it will not let me type magnolia, I will type a "ma" then give me only "main st.". I can browse the map to magnolia, press the screen to find 123 magnolia and route there. It is weird, just address entry feature no longer works on anything other than select roads.
  22. Your right, pin 14 is not populated on the car. Guess I will be running a wire forward. Thanks everone for you input.
  23. For a buss connection, I would expect a tx/rx connection. This wire is specifically labeled "vehicle speed". What F150 forum was referenced? How do we know if the speed sensor input is working? Thanks for the replies.
