  1. Connect the power supply to the cradle and not to the F500BT. The TMC receiver is build in to the cradle and doesn't work when there is no power supplied to the cradle.
  2. There is no TMC (or MSN-Direct) receiver in the F500BT. TMC or MSN-Direct is being received and supplied to the F500BT by the cradle. The UC (USA) version of the F500BT doesn't come with a TMC cradle but with a MSN-Direct cradle. You can order a TMC cradle from Pioneer Europe for about 60,- Euro. Don't forget to order the TMC antenna as well because the antenna is not the same as the MSN-Direct version.
  3. Good job Carver! I added the new 0 kb files to my existing Testmode folder and it works perfect on my EW 2.007 F500BT. Thank you very much.
  4. Thank you very much for your effort. Could you explain us how we can patch EZRIDER ourself?
  5. Try using the search function, this has been discussed several times. Basically you need to replace EZRIDER.EXE with a patched version and copy the right license files and maps. However you won't be able to receive all radio stations nor play all DVD's.
  6. That's too bad. I hadn't thought about that.
  7. There is an alternative method to get into Windows Explorer. When you replace MainMenu.exe in the APL directory with Systeminformation.exe (http://www.ultimatelaunch.de/) and make a simple menu where you can choose between the Pioneer software (link to the original MainMenu.exe renamed as _MainMenu.exe) and Windows, you can get into Windows without a Testmode SD. The downside is that you have to make a choice every time you start-up your system. The original MainMenu.exe is part of the upgrade so you have to make sure to replace MainMenu.exe with the alternative MainMenu.exe in the upgrade fil
  8. Yes you can but the signal from the F500BT is pretty weak and you'll probably need a ground loop isolator to eliminate hum.
  9. Did you do any software modifications to your system or did it start rebooting all by itself?
  10. MainMenu.exe in the APL folder starts the Pioneer software. When my F500BT kept rebooting it was caused by an error in the data.zip file located in the APL2\iGO\ directory.
  11. I have a brand new ND-G500 for sale
  12. The ND-G500 is primarily to integrate the F500BT with OEM radio's. It also functions as a power supply for the F500BT and as a mute box to mute the radio when navigation instructions are spoken. You can use the auxiliary input from your stereo to amplify the F500BT but you will probably have to use a ground loop isolator to eliminate hum. Besides that the output signal of the F500BT is pretty weak so you have to turn up the volume of your stereo quite a bit and don't forget to turn the volume down before switching to another source.
  13. Grounding the light green parking break wire will do the trick.
  14. You're welcome. I'm glad you've got it working. I was puzzled why it didn't work because all the files seemed right. The double .exe explains it all. You can easily change the skin in MioPocket. Just run Skin Changer, select "more skins" and select Vista Ultimate 800x480. @carlsbad0331: It seems like MioPocket doesn't run on your device. After reboot MioPocket should start automaticaly.
  15. I'm sorry but I don't know what you should do to get it working.
  16. You have to rename Autorun.exe to CopyTool.exe and AutoRun.mscr to CopyTool.mscr as described in one of my previous posts.
  17. Make sure your F500BT is off by holding the power button for about 5 seconds. Then start your F500BT with the SD card inserted by holding the power button for about 5 seconds again and see what happens.
  18. You've got to have four directories in the root of the SD card: Testmode, MiTACAP, MioAutoRun and Media. Remove or rename the file CopyTool.exe in the Testmode directory. Copy MioAutoRun.exe, MioAutoRun.mscr and MortScript.exe to the Testmode directory and rename MioAutoRun.exe to CopyTool.exe and MioAutoRun.mscr to CopyTool.mscr. That's it.
  19. Copy the original Pioneer Testmode directories to a SD card. Copy the MioPocket Media and MioAutorun directories to the same SD card. Boot the F500BT with the SD card inserted and MioPocket will start in a few moments. Good luck.
  20. That's great to know miopocket works on this device. Does the media player and keyboard works? Was the screen distorted? Did the resolution display correctly with the patch? Sorry for asking too many questions. I'm just excited to know miopocket works on the f500bt. I'm going to sell my mio c520 and buy this gps. The media player works fine with the two included media files. I didn't test the keyboard. The display was correct after selecting the 800x480 skin.
  21. I tested Miopocket on my F500BT today and the basics work.
  22. Did you try to boot the F700BT with the original Testmode files?
