  1. No on the unit itself, it works just as you described. My problem is with my steering wheel controls. The same button on my steering wheel that changes CD track should change FM presets but instead it goes through FM frequencies. BTW this in a 06 ALTIMA
  2. Basically when I toggle the steering wheel remote up and down it switches to the next or previous track on the CD playing however when listening to the radio and I toggle the switch instead of switching to the next programmed "preset" it goes to the next FM station so if I'm listening to 100.3 it goes to 100.5 instead of going to my next programmed preset of 103.5 The installer told me it was some settng on the D2 itself but I have not found any such thing. He told me if the track switch works so should the fm presets, but it doesnt. Maybe someone can advise.
  3. I contacted Pioneer regarding upgrading Map infomation to the D2 and also happened to discuss your situation, basically your software crashed and the only way to fix it is to reflash the system. Supposedly lot of people are running into this problem and all are victims of copied DVD's. This is not to say all are bad, because that's not true, I guess its a hit or miss. He did say Pioneer charges $75 to do the reflash and 3 weeks times is required for the entire process of shipping back and forth. Im sure someone on this forum is knowledgeable on figuring out how to reflash the system the

  5. Yah most of the ones on eBay are refurbished units and I remember a few weeks back members here purchased a D2 for $658 shipped brand new, but that person is no longer selling units. I dont know if I should buy refurbished or not.
  6. Best place/price for an avid D1 or D2 and where?
  7. Its an 06 Altima 2.5 SE WITHOUT the BOSE radio. Like I said if it wasn't winter I'd do it in a heart beat by myself. If you have a step by step guide I'd be happy to see it!! Email it to me NYDesi80@gmail.com Thanx a bunch!
  8. I was actually going to get my altima done at CC but I guess not huh? I live in NY and I know I can do this install myself but its too cold and I do not have a heated garage to perform the install, that's my problem. ANd I'm not waiting till its warm to do it. If I had access to a heated garage I would do it in a heart beat! The only reason I was going to do it with CC was because they remove it for free when my lease goes back.
  9. So what exactly does the CNDV-60MP dics conatin? Maps? I thought that's what the East Coast DVD v1.2 had? I am not quiet sure if I fully understand the distinction. Sorry if I'm being so thick. Haha
  10. Ok after extensive searching and reading I think I have an understanding of it all but still kind of shaky so I need someone to solidify my knowledge. From what I understand the main diff between D1 and D2 is the firmware that comes preinstalled on the D2 however for a fee ($250) or free for us internet savy people can be upgraded with the CNDV-60MP dics? Now I downloaded East and West from torrents. Do I just pop it into the unit and it will install? After the firmware installs, I just pop in the DVD that has the maps for East or West Coast v 1.2? What I dont get is what is the
