  1. Bluetooth IS FIXED! There is now a small box that comes up ON ANY SCREEN when you make a phone call. The volume also seems to be a little better. You still cannot control the volume with the knob. I also have the soft bypass installed in the 3.0 version. It's exactly the same as 2.0 (edit pioneer_ui in data.zip).
  2. This sounds like the same problems that plague the F series.
  3. Benefits to having the ipod cable vs 3.5mm jack: You can charge the phone while it's playing Pandora (playing internet radio takes up quite a bit of battery). You can control your music if you use the IPod on your phone. You can watch movies from the phone on the HU.
  4. 10 mins, maybe a little more? It takes about 2 mins for my 5 gigs of content.
  5. I emailed Pioneer about this problems along with having to unplug the USB plug to get my ipod to work. They immediately asked me to send them my unit for warranty repairs. Is this a problem with the HU?
  6. Are you sure that this is your Ipod's fault? I've been having this problem (with my Ipod Video) and I used to reset my Ipod to get it to work. Then I started unplugging the Ipod and then plugging it back in, and that worked. Then I started only unplugging the USB portion of the Ipod, and that worked too. I figured it was a problem with my Ipod until I noticed similar behavior with my USB thumb drive. I plugged in the thumb drive, and left it. The next time I turned on my car the USB icon was grayed out and the activity light on the drive wasn't blinking like normal. After unplugging it then pl
  7. I got this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 1806247493 And that one was REALLY good. It had an adjustable tuner on the baseplate, and it's quite small. The reception was pretty good for the price. It receives UHF/VHF which was important to me. My friend got this one here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 5217076045 and his is stealth install. It's on the lower part of the window INSIDE the car, which you don't see. It gets pretty good reception as well BUT doesn't get as many channels. I'm wondering if its because its inside the car, or if its bec
  8. Might just be missing something but I don't see any pics? =(
  9. I have an F90-BT and I've never experienced this problem. Thought I'd let you guys know that it's probably a problem with the unit.
  10. What happens when you plug it in? Does your flash drive have an LED light on it? Does it light up to indicate that it's working? How long do you wait before you decide it's not working?
  11. It's funny, I'm having the same problem. What's odd is that I downloaded a TV show from ITunes and it's H.264 640x360, and it works just fine. But same as you I can't transfer a video that I encode myself to the ipod. Stumped.
  12. Try resetting the unit using the hard reset button. Sometimes MSN Direct will not connect and a reset usually fixes it.
  13. I might be mistaken but I believe the F700 lacks the hardware necessary to play a DVD. Sorry =(
  14. Why don't you do a software bypass? No need to move the mute wire.

    Custom Route

Hi all, I'm curious if anybody knows how to set a custom route for a destination. I'm going to be traveling soon but I don't want to go the way the GPS recommends because there is going to be snow. Using google I was able to find an alternate route but I don't know how I can get the GPS to follow this route. I know that we can tell it to avoid certain roads or route to certain POI's but I really just want to go to the same place using a different highway. Any ideas?
