  1. All I can say is thank you SO MUCH. I have ordered the update, but in the meantime my unit was dead. I had tried the 2.00006 and it blew my unit away and it was gone. I have a F700BT and this worked perfectly and you really saved me a lot of time, and this is like getting a new radio, much faster, easier and looks better, and I love the enhanced GPS. Finally track north up, and warning signs about the exits before you see them even when you don't have a route. This is a great.
  2. I did this update and everything seemed fine, and all the directions went ok. The next time I started the car I only got a black screen so I tried resetting it. Now basically I just get the system boots up stays at the logo I can press menu and if I select audio I get nothing, if I try to go to the maps it gives me the warning and I get nothing. Also if I go to the nav menu it says no maps installed. Please help if you can, I am so bummed out, this unit worked well for me, and I dont want to send it to pioneer if I can avoid it. Is there a way to go back to the old version, I c
  3. I called PAC about these issue and they said there is no firmware or issues, and that 99% are user related. Not sure if thats true, but I bought a unit from a local dealer, and installed it in my 2003 4Runner and it works as stated with only a minimal delay, but works fine. Also one question I had was my sterring wheel button illumination was gone, and that PAC install does restore that as well. I only have 5 buttons anyway, but I have vol +/- and track +/- and source which all do what I expected.
  4. During my install of the SWI-PS I had some issues... When I powered it up, none of my buttons lit up. Then illimuniation was non-functional and my gps had no signal strength. So.... I ripped the entire dash apart thinking I forgot to install my antenna cable, and maybe damaged my illumination wire.... This is what is was, my illumunation color was set to memory 2, and apparently when the power is off this unit, it must clear out some settings, and it decided to leave it set to memory 2 but it had no color. As soon as I selected another color the lights came back on. Whew, though
  5. Just wanted to post a final followup that the installation is completed. Pictures to follow.... Some things I learned about my vehicle that might help others here... Not all 4Runner Limiteds have JBL audio, depends how they are ordered and usually they do, but mine did not. The PAC SWI-PS works perfectly in my car. In fact I didn't have to tap or cut a wire for this entire installation I made my own harness for the SWI-PS by desoldering the female connector off the old radio and soldering the wires to the pins then encasing them in epoxy. Took longer, but its nice to know I
  6. Sorry I meant which is the wire on the toyota that is the steering wheel interface.
  7. Thanks for posting the directions couldn't be better!
  8. I have a 700BT coming and I bought the Scosche wiring harness and also plan to buy the steering wheel control interface, I didnt notice any wires in the harness that say they control the steering wheel, where is this wire located? thank you chris
  9. I am excited that I just bought a 700 and it will be here in a few days, I plan to install it in my 2003 4runner and will post pics. I would like to use the steering wheel control interface but my question is about the bluetooth. I really want to install the antenna correctly, and would be ok running the wire behind the dash and up near the roof and would drill through the roof. The issue I seem to have is I would like to get an antenna that screws through the roof, isnt too large and with a gasket and silicone I have no worries about leakage. All the antennas seem to be geared to run the w
