ok, this may be a stupid question but i haven't been able to find an answer in the manual. is there a way to turn off the avic when the engine is running?

thanks! if i leave ACC unattached will the unit turn on automatically when i turn on the head unit, or will i have to turn it on separately?

i have an avic-d1 in my car and now i'm looking to add an sdv-p7 dvd player. i'm finding the installation manual for the sdv a little confusing because none the scenarios listed in it connect directly to the head unit. has anybody done this installation? do i just need to connect just the ip-bus and av-bus cables directly to the d1? anyone done this installation?

you have to modify the interface on the back of the changer. there is a guy on clublexus that does this for a fee, not sure how much he charges.

i contacted them, they said they are out of them.

so did anybody ever try one of these?

does anyone know if the CD-R5 remote works with the D1? thanks.
