  1. It's text-to-speech and voice recognition, this would be software based, so it should be... or I hope it will be, on the upgrade discs
  2. Morning folks, I am looking at putting in some wireless headphones in the back and was wondering about the RCA WHP140 900 MHz Wireless Headphones. I was looking at them over an IR set of headphones so I wouldn't have to have the IR transmitter visible. As it is powered by a 12v AC adapter, I'm wondering how I would wire it? Any suggestions of other non-visible wireless headphone setups would be appreciated.
  3. just looked at pg 19 and will be going back over with it shortly this is a pain in the heinie
  4. no idea what kind of headphone and at this point I'm beyond bewildered I went over there and he called pioneers dealer support when I asked the question: If I want to listen to the radio and view the navigation and have someone in the back watch and listen to the dvd in the z1, can this unit do it? the tech said no was this tech wrong also? I wonder if they aren't making use of the rca connector 2 output and they are trying to run everything off the first output? Is it possible to do that? Unfortunately the installers english isn't perfect and I can't understand a lot of

  10. I've been waiting on my Z1 purchase until someone made a harness, kit, adapter dealie and now on the Metra website I see it is available. Info about me: I installed a car stereo in my 1984 VW Rabbit Diesel back in 1985. Although that's all I've ever done, I do have the abililty to learn new tricks. Whee, start your engines! Ok, the Santa Fe has a double din factory unit in there already as well as controls on the steering wheel for volume, tuning, mute, etc. On the Metra site I see a few things and wanted to see if anyone could tell me what one of them is. This is the dow
  11. That sounds great! I thought of having it only on the right, I just didn't know if it was possible. Any idea if it's difficult for it to be wired like that? I didn't want to ask my installer and have him wonder how he'd do it.
  12. Everything was going well until the shop found out the car make and model.... It's a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe New everything inside and out No aftermarket harnesses... nothing, so he will have to do custom work.... ie: expensive
  13. Thank you for the reply... confirmation is a good thing when you are going to drop 2k The installer I am going to mentioned the bypass before I ever brought it up. That was nice of him.
  14. Morning, My wife is an on call hospice nurse in Phoenix, AZ. that works at night from home. When she gets a call she'll then pull up patient x's file, go to mapquest, pull up the directions and send the directions to her cellphone. As 90% of the patients are at known facilities, she'd like to be able to get into her car and pull up whichever facility she is going to, which she already entered as a POI and drive. She'd also like to be able to add her own POIs from a computer as need be. There are also times when she'll have multiple visits and would like to be able to enter something li
