  1. I knew that it was not going to be easy. It seems we do not have the same configuration screens create a bluetooth modem. There is an existing one called "BT_DUN" but it does not really connect to anything. Installing a custom BT stack will give us a lot of things. May be someone already has information on things i am looking for. 1. Is there a deivce mager we can download for use on "windows CE 5.0. I did see a screenshot of it on MSDN but could not find it anywhere. 2. Does hard reset really set everything(Excluding My Flash Disk) back to the way it was ? thanks ravic
  2. Sorry for the delay guys. I had to postpone the install till i get back from my trip this long weekend. In the mean time i got all the dev tools installed on my machine to be ready. Also, I noticed that Avic seems to support USB host mode (given that the ipod works with it). Windows CE natively support USB client mode, which is what it uses to communicate with a PC. 1. If we can figure out how to force it into a USB host mode and then plug in the devices, we might be able to get the phone and other wireless adapaters detected. Driver installation is the next step. 2. I need to al
  3. I am going to try installing the cab this afternoon. Even if the cab file ends up overwriting system files a hard-reset should bring it back to life. It cannot really mess with ROM. I am hoping that the OS is installed on a ROM and not nand flash.
  4. Thanks for the version information The cab file itself does not seem to contain any system file that it replaces. But it still not gurantee that the software would not change any registry settings after it starts up (or as part of initial configuration). Unfortunately most of the emulators available do not emulate bluetooth so it is not possible to test this on an emulator. I will keep researching this.
  5. Ok, I requested the eval version and downloaded the cab file. Attaching the setup XML for the cab file Does anyone know the CPU type used in F90BT? Is it an ARM or X86 ? Also which version of CE runs on it? I do application design/development for windows mobile and have access to the tools to build and deploy. I will try to decipher the contents of the cab and see what would be effected if we did deploy it on our F-series.
  6. cornerd, While you are working on the video review, can you post if any of these have been addressed ? Or almost all of them still present? Thanks for doing this for us.
  7. I did get a response to my PM from cronerd on this subject. He did get it installed. He was trying to put together a video review. Hopefully will post it soon. Does any one know any differences at all as far as functionality is concerned between the 10hd and the 20hd. I really want to install one and only the 10hd are readily available and they are around $60.
  8. cronerd, did you get it installed? How long of an IP-bus cable does it come with? Thanks Ravi
  9. actually dont use any and let windows mobile format it when you are entering
  10. jetware mobile does enhance some functions. However, as far as the number transfer is concerned it did not make any difference with it installed or not installed. The issue in my case was just number of contacts. The CPU on the phone would spike to 100% when the car connects and attempts to transfer phonebook. I tried atleast 20 to 30 combinations with jetware and various other bluetooth handfree profile dlls. At least in the case of Sprint HTC Diamond, if there are too many contacts on your phone it will either take for ever to transfer or never complete.
  11. unfortunately that wont work. Avic has a feature that maintains contacts per phone. So your son's phone's contacts will only be visible when his phone is connected. And only your phone contacts will be visible when your phone is connected.
  12. I found that the issue was with my contacts. I had around 181 of them and a lot of them with multiple numbers. I dont know which one of them was causing the issue. But here is how gotten around it. 1. Delete the pairing between the car and phone if one exists. 2. Backup your phone with a backup software. 3. Hard reset the phone to clear everything. 4. Then setup the phone with only the contacts you care about being synced with the car (Limit the number of contacts). 5. Now pair the phone with the car. 6. As soon as the pairing is complete you will see a prompt on the phone that wi
  13. I have the same issue. I am using a Touch diamond. I do hear it when the phone volume is high. superman, What does that mean? ravic
  14. Can you please post the version number you see on the 5th gen ipod video. I have the same one and will try to downgrade to it.
  15. Yeah, mine is the same way. My older ipod works slightly better than the brand new touch. I have a ipod video 5G though. So the picture looks sharp when it is small but looks pixelated when it is expanded. I need to try different rom version on this ipod to see if it changes anything.
  16. what resolution are you ripping those movies in? what software are you using to convert? thanks
  17. which generation is your ipod 30gb? Is it and ipod video 5g? If so, can you also post the firmware version number. I have a 30gb version of ipod video 5g, but it shows pizelated artwork when expanded. It looks ok when it is small.
  18. Just sent my $2.00 Please post pdf if possible
  19. I tried with two ipods and here are the results on my F90BT. 1. 5th Gen Ipod 30GB Small Artwork looks ok When expanded looks pixelated. 2. 1st Gen Ipod touch Small artwork is pixelated It gets worse when expanded.
  20. Hi, I just installed my F90BT and paired it with my HTC Touch Diamond (Sprint Version) I am having no luck with the phonebook transfer. This phone came with WM 6.1. When i pair it with the AVIC, the pairing goes successfully but i do not see any prompt on the phone to allow access to contact list. So i go in to the phone screen on AVIC and try to initiate the phonebook tranfer and try to use my phone to push the contacts. But my phone does not show me the AVIC in the list of devices. I even browsed through some of the bluetooth and OBEX registry keys on phone to see if anything is d
  21. It almost looks like a settings issues somewhere. My artwork also looks horrible with my ipod 5g. It is crystal clear on ipod display and in itunes. I know someone here on this forum reported that his ipod nano showed crystal clear pictures on pioneer. Where as another poster said that it was pixelated. I think there must be something that is controlling the quality of the artwork being stored, read or displayed. I will keep researching and post anything i find.
