    Do you actually need someone to confirm disconnecting the battery? Try it out and let us know...once you have tried every possible thing...send it in for service.

     

    Well it's not as easy as your regular camery. I have it in an Acura NSX and removing the head unit requires special skills without damaging the fragile console....... Should there be any special wiring other than the camera going to the reverse light's positive & negative wires? The camera only comes on part of the time.....

    Hey guys I have a 6000NEX and every time I start the car, it starts in the rear view camera mode, but the camera is not on, just the message that says "image may appear reversed" and the rest of the screen is black. The only way to exit this screen is to hold the map button. There is no X on the top right of the screen. Anyone know how to fix this? I've looked through all the settings and cant find it.... 

     

    Also I have a 2nd screen that is set to video out, is there a way to use the 2nd screen for a rear view "mirror" mode by the camera and have the main screen the navi etc? thanks!

    Dude u dont have to take it out of the dash - just reinstall the OS - in WinCE - Start > Settings > control panel > storage > format partition and then copy new files (when u format u are blowing it all away including POI's maps etc and the entire OS so reload it w/ 4.01. and ur done

    but how...someone needs to defrag the info on this site. there is no simple DIY on anything. and where there is supposed to be, none of the links work and nobody cares to fix them. does anyone have any FUNCTIONAL DIY on the F700BT on 3.0-4.1? maybe with complete links and such for the american version

    Guide...... pretty easy to find..... I've used 4.01 and it works great here is my mirror.......

    DL this for 4.01 upgrade. Be sure to update WinCE the same way as the guide says above.

    Hey guys instead of using 2.0 or 3.0 use this to fix your rebooting issues........ 4.01 is so much better than 2.0! this also includes the latest maps & 3d buildings... for North America. THX! :) Enjoy

     

    EcoCav, when booted into WinCE mode, go to start > control Panel > storage > and format the first partition. Then copy the contents from your SD card to "my flash disK" under "My device"....

    If you live on east cost of US you will be all set. If you live in west coast may need some PIOs. You can go into APL2 igo content PIOs and Map files and see what's in there.

     

    Yes you can copy 3.0 maps but would defeat purpous of update as its primarily maps.

     

    So why doesn't 4.0 come with the updated maps for USA? It doesn't make any sense. Can someone please post a complete copy of 4.0? Thanks!

    I tried using a 2.0 backup but it didn't work... so I did it again but this time I was able to get it working by copying the 3.0 backup files instead which upgraded me at the same time! Woot! Going to try to upgrade to 4.0.... but what does 4.0 provide since it doesn't come with maps?

     

    2nd question is, since it doesn't come with maps, I should be able to copy the maps folder from the 3.0 to the 4.0 and load that right? Thoughts? Thx! My AVIC Boots up so much faster now too.... I'm currently uploading the files to my web server so I will mirror these files for everyone to share since BT is unreliable most of the time. Thanks!
