  1. The F-series is not dual zone so whatever is on the main unit will show on the external monitor if I am not mistaken.
  2. Where did you get this information from? How can I fix it? I get a hissing sound and I had to turn the gain on my amps down to under 3 which is almost down completely. It gets rid of the hissing but I have no volume.
  3. I have had my F90 since Dec 08 and I haven't had the issues you are having with the video or with the Navigation. Quick question... are you trying to watch a video while your parked and if so do you have the parking wire connected correctly or do you have the by-pass setup? You should be able to watch videos, movies without trouble using F90. Also where do you have your antenna installed are you receive a strong signal? Don't get me wrong, the F90 has more than it's fair share of issues but everything you are describing sounds like installation issues and not hardware or software issue, I coul
  4. That is the same reason I turned my volume down as well. Doesn't interrupt my music as often. Traffic is bad enough without having be told turn right in 2 miles, turn right in 3/4 of a mile, turn right in 1/4 mile, turn right 500 ft, turn right at the next right. I got it... turn right. lol
  5. I get the same issue only because I have my prompt volume turned all the way down. The navigation is still giving turn-by-turn directions and sometime it studders on whatever source I am listening to not just the iPod. You might be experiencing the same thing as me.
  6. It's ok I have to look it up in the manual myself. SLA, stand for Source Level Adjustment, which is like a gain of sorts on a amp but this is for your source connected to the headunit. I have on all my source the SLA set to -4 db. Which makes it sound better on my system but you will have to play with yours to get the best possible sound in your car.
  7. Spta97, Thanks for your input, I don't know if you read everything I said about this hissing issue I have. But this has done it from day one with the factory setup and without. This is not a amp issue or a bad ground. The head unit hisses no matter what and even more so when or as you change sources... in other words when you are listening to a CD and you select SD it makes a load hiss then quiets down to the level it was hissing before. The only time it does not hiss is when I am in FM and I think that's because Pioneer doesn't allow you adjust the SLA for FM at all. My point is that CD's an
  8. Well I just adjusted the SLA for each source on my F90BT and it did make a little difference but you can still hear the hissing... but I'll take it, it is a lot better than it was. I guess Pioneer uses the SLA as a gain control, although it is not completely useful +- 4db and even turned down all the way to -4db it still hisses.
  9. it makes my head hurt too. lol
  10. That was my first response as well but since it makes a loader hissing noise when you select/switch sources leads me to believe that it is the head unit. The only time it doesn't make the hissing is when it is on FM or HD Radio. CD's and DVD's are usually excellent in not having hissing because of the digital nature but I get hissing from them as well. Not to be confused with wyne when the engine is revved or excelorated
  11. Fair enough... so does my Element it had separates in the front but the mid cone was paper and the crossover was just a couple of caps on the tweeter to block out the mids frequencies. I think the reason you are not getting the hiss is because you have your AVIC hooked up without using the RCA's just speaker wires to your speakers. Like I said before I went to Al & Eds and put in the new unit and it did the same thing, even worst. The gains on the amps are tuned almost all the way down and I still get the hissing.
  12. No it is the head unit... you can hear the hiss more when you select a different source then it quiets down a little. I think because you are listening to the unit un-amplified you can't hear the hiss, also most stock speakers don't have a separate tweeter and crossover for proper sound staging. The very best factory stereo can not compete with after market equipment period. Most manufactures outsource their audio to aftermarket companies like Pioneer, Alpine etc. and what you get is there bottom of the barrel gear. Case in point my Honda Element came with Alpine factory gear but didn't have
  13. I actually lowered my gains because of the hissing. I used to have a Alpine CDA-9886 and I never got the hissing I get from my F90BT. Each amp is ground separately as well. It is not the AMPs or the speakers its the head unit. I just read the manual again you can adjust the SLA for each source but you are only talking +-4 so I can't see that doing much but I will give it a try. BTW I went this weekend and bought ground isolating filters and still getting the hissing.
  14. I agree with you, I even went to store I bought mine at and swapped it out to test it and the new unit made even more of his. I can hear even more because I have after market amps and you can hear the hiss when when you switch from source to source and when you pause any source CD, iPod, SD etc. the only source it doesn't his is FM & HD radio, I don't have XM so I can't say if it does it on it. Again it is not an grounding issue or power wires crossing the RCAs, it is the head unit it's self. I called Pioneer and they said to send it in. Right then I am stuck without a radio for however l
  15. My F90BT works fine with traffic in LA and I am willing to go as far as 90% on the traffic. I have my car parked all day in the parking garage and parked in my garage at night and I never had a problem not getting the info from MSN, although I sometime don't have bars I always get the traffic. The biggest issue is the weather... I sometimes get No Local Weather Available but world wide comes in right away. After about 5-10 min weather comes comes in. Gas prices and movies work pretty much all the time. That's saying a lot because in LA there are mountains all over the place and I still receive
  16. I have F90BT installed in my 08 Element SC and it for the most part works, does it work great? It depends. For example the boot-up time is can be slow sometime depending on what you left it on meaning if you left on your iPod loaded with 4k+ songs on it, then you are going to wait for the system. Don't get me wrong it starts playing music in about 20 sec but the rest of the system is still loading. Sometimes I put it in reverse and the backup camera doesn't come on until I have already put it into drive, but I stress sometimes. The bluetooth works pretty good with my BB Curve and my iPhone 3G
  17. I stand corrected... thnx Boris
  18. Do a search or read the manual. You can change the background via AVIV Feeds.
  19. Unfortunately, I can not, that specific splash screen is only avaliable on specific Scion xBs, and I wish I could get it, but I can't. I know its going to be pretty hard to fabricate a loading screen like that one from scratch, but at least you know what I want it to look like? Sorry, i would do it myself, but I don't have any photoshop experience or for that matter, making images (Except in paint ) Does this work? WOW, you nailed it so hard that I felt it! THANK YOU!!! No worries... enjoy!

That would help a lot. The Scion logo is not a big deal, its going to be hard matching the font for xB logo. I will
  22. Can you get me a the current splash screen I can edit it for you.
