Check out Demon 8 Designs they sell a module to integrate aftermarket OBD2 devices displays to video input devices. You can send it to a in-dash display or a rearview mirror monitor.

Hook up the reverse wire to the Z.

Have you set your parking brake? It sounds like the unit is not bypassed so it needs to know your parking brake is set.

The Z3 just has updated maps and Gracenote database, buy the Z2 then get a harddrive from garrettoomey http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14915 and you will have a Z3 for alot less.

Thanks, I found this tutorial http://www.ss-shootout.com/tunes/index.html I tied into the rear wiper switches illuminaion wire (brown with white stripe). The only thing I don't like about it is the dash lights come on before it gets dark out and the headlight switch does not seem to be able to shut them off.[/img]

I have not hooked up a cam to mine yet, but I think it will only show fullscreen when in reverse. You can see a split screen when on one of the map screens. If you want full screen view you will need to hook up a switch to trick the unit into thinking you are in reverse. Ken

Have you adjusted the viewing angle? Hold the eject button and it will give you the option to adjust the angle of the screen.

I'm having the same trouble with my '07 TBSS, did you get this fixed? Also do you know where to hook the illumination wire? Thanks, Ken

I had a AVIC Z2 installed in my 2007 TrailBlazer SS, the installer never hooked up the illumination wire the first time. I went back and had them try to fix it, but now the map is in nightmode all the time and my auto headlights do not turn themselves on. Where is the illumination wire suppose to be connected? Thanks, Ken
