This is absolutely not true. Mine work fine. They hit alot harder than with the Shaker installed but that's a good thing. I did lower the gain on the sub out to a 0 or a -1, but they sound much better now. This shouldn't even affect a seperate sub amp because you could always just turn the gains up a little bit to compensate for the lower setting on the head unit.

No. That wire needs to be connected in the fuse box that is in the passenger footwell or in the engine compartment. I do not remember the correct wire offhand but I beleive it is in a thread here in this forum. I'll look for it if I get a chance.

Are you using the proper harness to go between the Pioneer harness and the cars harness? I used a Metra 70-5521. Then make all of your connections here, then just plug it all together. DO NOT cut the factory plugs off the harness'. The only connections that cannot be made here are the VSS and the illumination. These locations can be found with a little bit of searching on your part, either here on this board or I also used mustangforums.com to gather alot of information. G/L.

Well I finally installed my F90BT this weekend in my 2006 Mustang. It went as smooth as is possible thanks to all the info I was able to get of this forum. You guys are awesome. Did my bypass and soldered the voltage regulator into the harness to eliminate the pop in the subs. I am lovin this thing. This is a MAJOR upgrade from my Shaker 500. Even my phone works great (BlackjackII). I also fixed up my phonebook to work properly with the voice dial. I can't wait to mod this thing to the max. Yes. All Sirius radios can. And all XM radios can have the Best of Sirius too. This has nothing to do with who makes the radio. This is controlled completely by Sirius and XM abd is based upon Radio ID.

I was going to buy an F90 this week but it looks like everyone raised their prices. Guess I'm waiting for the prices to drop again.

If you don't already have an SCT XCal, get one and get a tune while your at it. Then you can do all the data logging you want, read codes and adjust you car to match any mods you have done. Worth every penny. Woke my car up big time.
