  1. Same here, I find Siri has trouble understanding me properly through bluetooth.
  2. Thanks for explaining this. I made a separate thread about the ability to mirror the iphone 4S screen to an external monitor via HDMI using an Apple digital AV adapter cable. So if I were to use an HDMI to s-video converter, do you think I would be able to mirror the iphone on my AppRadio? Here's a photo of the setup which might make it easier to explain the setup I'm hoping will work:
  3. Was enjoying the bypass and watching video when this happened All that work wiring the bypass down the drain!
  4. No, you plug in your iphone/ipad charger cord into the dock connector port so you can charge your device while outputting video via hdmi.
  5. Recently found out that the iphone 4S (and the ipad2) officially supports video out mirroring without the need for jailbreaking, but unfortunately you need to purchase the Apple digital AV adapter: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC953ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE I was hoping my iphone 4S would be able to be mirrored on my appradio, but doesn't seem to work with the pioneer iphone cable Any ideas on how to make it work?
  6. Tried this method and got the bypass working! The trickiest part for me was programming the TR7. Took me a few hundred tries (exaggerating) before I called PAC tech support. They told me to try using a pushbutton switch to pulse the brown wire and it made things so much easier! Anyway, as per your post, it takes a little while for the bypass to kick in after you start the car. That being said, while the bypass works well initially I have had problems switching between modes (ipod, radio) and then getting back to appmode. I'm able to get to hit the app button but then all I get is a black s
  7. Thanks to carver's great post, we can now change the AppRadio's main wallpaper. I originally posted my first attempt at creating custom wallpaper in caver's thread, but decided to create this new thread dedicated to custom wallpapers. I've attached 4 files. The first two are the default AppRadiowallpapers. They are in .bmp format. I used those files as templates to create my custom wallpapers. You will need to create/edit the wallpapers with some sort of photo editing software and save them as 24-bit bmp files using the exact same dimensions and filenames as the original wallpaper files (N
  8. Thanks for the instructions! Tried it out last night and worked like a charm, see below. Used photoshop elements to open the original backgrounds and create my own. My custom background colors don't work with the rest of the elements so I'll have to work on some new ones
  9. Just wanted to share my great experience with the update. Ordered from Pioneer Canada the night of Sept. 8, was shipped Sept 9 and received it yesterday. Installed it yesterday using the instructions on this site and everything went smoothly. Everything seems to be running great, much smoother than 2.0 firmware. Also using it with my updated 3.1 iphone 3GS and it still works perfectly.
  10. I have mine hidden in the top right corner of my car behind my header panel and signal works fine.
  11. Here's my first custom background, comes out looking a little too pink though.
