  1. I need to check this out. I had the random connection problem with my 90bt and 3g iphone that drove me crazy. I bought the Apple cable, have all the latest firmware, etc. Then a couple weeks ago, I had my iphone replaced under warranty for a screen problem. I did a restore through itunes, and all of a sudden I couldn't get it to disconnect from the 90bt no matter what! I was so happy. It lasted a week and a half, and then started getting random again. Not as bad as before, but getting close. If we could figure out what itunes is doing to screw it up, then maybe we could deal with it.
  2. Thanks very much for that information. I was beginning to think I might have a bad unit. I'll be looking for that update for sure!
  3. Contact these guys in Chesapeake if you don't want to do it yourself. Same Day Auto Audio Repair Service Inc. 1228 South Military HWY. Suite F Chesapeake VA, 23320 (757)420-5206 office (757)420-5582 fax (757)277-1080 cell
  4. I have an iPhone 3G with software version 2.2.1. I also have the same problem with an 8gb nano. If I had to guess, the USB power voltage drops too low at random times.
  5. This isn't true. I bought the Apple composite cable and got the exact same results as the Pioneer. When I use the Pioneer cable I can get video from the iphone just fine - it just won'y stay connected with either cable.
  6. I have had almost the same issues everyone is speaking about here, but I don't get the message about the ipod connection failing - When my ipod drops off, it actually turns the head unit to the Off setting. It doesn't reboot or shut down the unit, just turns off the AV function. Everything else works great on this unit. After reading up on this issue, I went out and bought the $50 Apple branded cable, and it behaves exactly like the Pioneer cable did. Pioneer support said I needed a new cable... BS I have tried with an 8gb Nano and my iPhone 3G, and both give the same results. Sometime
