  1. Once I am able to upload the files then we can place information in the sticky. I am working on uploading the fies today and hope to have it ready sometime this weekend. Also in the process of finishing DNS info so it can be resolved via name instead of IP. Chris
  2. I have an FTP server on the net and am willing to post the files for all to use however there will be limitations such as time of day, bandwidth, etc. I have the files and will try to upload them this week. If people are interested you drop me a personal message and I will supply a login for access. This login is not to be shared as I monitor IP's and will kill any account that has multiple IP's asscoaited with it with no prospect of providing any future access for the abusers. Chris
  3. I reset the unit but am still having issues where some disc's will read while others won't. When I had the original drive (Z1) in the unit it read all my audio disc's fine. Since upgrading to the Z2 image I have this issue where it will not read all my audio disc's (all are original store bought disc's). Any additional info in regards to the hit and miss of reading disc's in the Z1/2? BTW my unit is just 2 months over the one year warranty.
  4. I noticed the same error when I go into the screens on my unit. It's not a mounting issue as I have mine mounted securely in a GM 3/4 ton HD truck. Pioneer needs to put additional R&D into automotive equipment before releasing it to the public to ensure it’s ready for prime time usage. Pioneer, like many other CO’s, are all about the bottom line and forget about the purchasers of their products.
  5. I have the same issue with my audio CD collection. I upgraded to the Z2 image on a new drive and several audio CD's from my original CD collection (not burnt but actual original store bought) will not read in the disc drive. When a disc is inserted that exhibits this issue I can hear the laser pickup tracking back and forth just as if it cannot read the disc at all. However it does read some of my disc's. I did not have this issue with the Z1 image. The disc drive has always been very sensitive to the slightest smudge on disc's but not to the point of rejecting a disc and displaying a unreadab
  6. Thank you gents for the replies. I was hoping there would be a silver bullet in the Z2 image which would have resolved the issue all together. I'll try the suggestions and see what happens! Again...thanks for the input!! Chris
  7. Just upgraded my Z1 to the new Z2 software and added the BT adapter. I am having the dreaded BT echo issues something terrible. Is the new Z2 software suppose to fix the echo issue or has Pioneer decided to ignore the issue on a $1000.00 + piece of equipment?
  8. Quick question; increasing the MSV partion beyond 20gb...does the unit function normal with no reboots and what is the size limit to prevent issues? Thanks, Chris
  9. I have noticed NewEgg quit carrying the 60 GB drives mentioned. What drives are being used that work well and do not exhibit the dreaded reboot issue? BTW I am looking at the Toshiba MK8032GAX 80GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache ATA-6 on the NewEgg site.
  10. I am located in Richmond Virginia and have performed many custom installs. If you're willing to travel I can install.

  12. Has anyone located a free unlocking service/tool as I am fimilar with the paid services that I use in our IT shop at work however they are all paid services.
  13. I read the entire thread and did not notice what sequence of events happened which allowed the hard drive locking program to be circumvented? Additionally has anyone been successful in backing up the drive? I am more interested in making a backup copy for the failed scenario.
  14. Just updated the FW on the IPod and reloaded everything. First plug in...no rebooting of the IPod. Looks to have fixed the issue. I will report back if I see the issue again. Thank you ducatiboy for your insight and help in all the questions I have posted.
  15. I have the newest FW (1.4) on the IPod (30gb video type). I use a PC for loading the music not a MAC.
