  1. So I have had the F90BT for 3 weeks now, but had the D1 before. and overall, im thinking about returning the F90BT and getting the D3, although I never had the D3. I would like opinions and votes which one to get? Keep the F90BT (and hope for a "POSSIBLE" future update that hopefully will fix the major problems) or Get the Avic-D3! Please help in the decision making (and possibly state why)! Thanks!
  2. regarding the D3 and how you have to load the map, i had a very important question about it. so if i don't have the disc inside, and cruise around town, will my gps/map go blank? or what? and vice versa, if i do have the disc in, can i just cruise around without loadin times? i mean, without any route, just driving around
  3. Ok, so I been on this forum now for a few weeks, and I have been doing ALOT of reading, and I keep coming across the iGo thing! Can please someone tell me what it is, how i get it, and how to install it? Please, i been lookin everywhere! Thanks
  4. LMFAO, this was a funny statement, but i totally agree with you. thats how i feel. im actually thinking about getting rid of my f90bt and getting the D3, because i had a D1 before that, and even though the features were limited, the functions were 1xmillion times better
  5. huh...thats really weird because the f90bt requires you to connect those audio/video cables as well. when i bought the f90bt, i thought it wud be what every D-series had, plus the best of the best in F-series. yet this is one of the WORST navis ever made by pioneer. only 40% of the functions work properly 100% of the time. the rest chooses when it should work
  6. CD-i200 I think, it is just a cable. since it is just a cable, and i looked it up, how does it view the videos??? doesn't it need the audio/video component cables just like they are on the f90bt??
  7. Depends....how old is your D3? and also, what you have with it. i would probably want the unit, all the wires/harnesses, the ipod cable, and the bluetooth module. then i would consider a trade
  8. i see...what is the exact module that i will need for the ipod?
  9. oh i see....but yeah i had the same problem with the D1, the POI never sorted them by distance, but simply put them as a list. i didn't like that n in a way its stupid. however, how is the bluetooth? are there any problems? is the quality bad/good? does it mess up or freeze the actual D3??
  10. yeah but the hacks won't really change the majority of the problems. its not gonna help my ipod, and i already looked for the flymode thing. its just i can't believe pioneer released this unit! this unit is like a hot expensive computer, but with a virus. thats what it feels like! like 40% of the features actually work the way they were advertised!
  11. how is the bluetooth thing on the D3? the one on the f90bt sucks badly! especially the microphone!
  12. the only thing that keeps me from switching from the f90bt to the D3 is that i don't know the D3 at all and the problems it has. if someone could tell me what the major/known problems are, that would be great. also, does the D3 have FULL ipod compatibility like the f90bt does? meaning can i fully control it on the actual unit?
  13. thank you knight....i really appreciate you feedback a lot. if you don't mind, could you just state a few points about the D3 that you really like and a few points you really hate or bother you about the D3. i just gotta be certain to get rid of the f90bt and go with the d3, and i don't wanna get it, and then regret it and realize i made an even bigger mistake. thank you so much!
  14. aha, wow thanks for your help, it was very helpful since I never owned a D3. but regarding your answer to question 4. so if i keep the dvd inside the D3, all that would be avoided, right? I mean im gonna use my ipod most of the time and rarely ever use the cd.
  15. Ok, so now I had the F90BT and i experience WAY too many problems with the unit. Unless I can somehow figure out how to fix them, I would go back to my D1. The F90BT has problems as follows: 1.) In bluetooth, sometimes when I make it louder or softer when in a call, the volume drops to ULTIMATE low, regardless whether I make it louder or not. As soon as I adjust the volume on the screen, volume drops to super low. 2.) The POI don't have an option of just looking up an address by phone number, YET I can look up the place, and dial the phone number because the number IS SAVED in the
  16. hey memsu, wow i totally understand what you mean with this f90bt! i think thats what I am going to do now, i have had my f90bt for about 2 weeks now, and i completely hate it, just look what i wrote in my most recent post about the problems. i am actually plannin on getting the D3, because I have heard really good things about it
  17. Ok, so now that I had the avic-d1, but switched to the f90bt, im really upset with the f90bt and want the D-series again, but before I commit, i had a few questions. 1.) Does the D3 basically have everything the D1 has, plus the bluetooth capability and the ipod full use capability? 2.) Does the D3 have a "fly-mode" gps setting where if the car gets off the map (like on a parking lot) the car symbol won't just spin really stupid like it does on the f90bt but instead will be flying over the gray/non-road area?? This is important to me because the f90bt constantly wants to put me on a ro
  18. yeah its done that only a couple times so far. it doesn't affect anythin other than the map disappears for 5 sec and the pioneer screen comes on and then goes back. im just happy that now my bt works. because the first f90bt unit i had was defective and bt didn't work and the unit constantly triggered my radar to go off
  19. I did the search in that thread and people do say that everything works there. also, does your background screen sometimes reset itself to the pioneer starting up background when the phone is in use via bluetooth?
  20. So I finally got my replacement unit, the f90bt, and the bluetooth finally works, and I transferred all my contacts, and they are all in the unit when i access them, but.... ...why is EVERY number that dials me or I dial from my phone coming up on my screen as "UNKNOWN" number???
  21. thank you for all the answers. well regarding my BB and the f90, i just sent my f90 out a few days ago back to the place i purchased it from cuz of that and a few other problems i had with the unit. for some reason my bluetooth never worked and the f90 ALWAYS triggered my passport escort 8500 radar to go off Ka band non stop
  22. actually...i think pioneer should come up with some way to get all the ipods working.
  23. so thats actually a handheld sony remote that will work on a pioneer unit? you are certain of that?
  24. i don't understand why pioneer would even release such a product. i got the f90bt and i thought when i got it that it would be the best. my judgement was based on the D2 is better than D1. D3 is better than D1, or D2, so therefore the F90BT should be better than ALL other prior models. but its not! only some things are better about it. im really upset at this! i thought it would be the worlds best unit....but it rates under the worse top 5
  25. Oh, yeah I forgot about that one. Yeah, the D3 would just keep straight like you were flying or something. Makes 3D mode useless when the road isn't there, then you can't do track up on 2D mode to make it better it even gets better if you park on a parking lot next to a major road. at first the 3D mode won't figure out what just happened and keep spinning, n then it will just think u r actually back on the main road even tho u haven't moved!! lol
