ok so if i were to turn on a x710bt it would be exactly the same as my f700bt w/ 3.0
-
Yup, still down. Come on! I bet there's going to be lots of calls to pioneer tomorrow. Me not being one of them unless someone posts they can tell us the password.
-
Well my question is, now that I've payed for it and soon will be able to finish the update what would be the next step if I wanted the features the x-series have... like the button sound disable.
-
I've bought the 3.0 Firmware and am awaiting the generator site to come back online https://www.pioneernavigationupdate.com ... ionupdate/ In the meantime I have a question... when I finish updating is it possible to load up the x710bt software to my f700bt AVIC? I would really appreciate a step by step guide on the process as I'm sure it can't be as simple as a data.zip drop. Thanks!

I just ordered mine from Pioneer's site. Around $68 total. I'm really looking forward to see any improvements/fix's in the 3.0 firmware but my guess is that it wont be much. I have my 700bt in a 07crv, I'm probably the only in the state with a aftermarket stereo in a 07-up CR-V. lol I had it installed, bypassed and steering wheel controls hooked up by a friend and couldn't be happier. The ipod interface blows away everything on the market.

IDK if I need this anymore, my F700BT is in a Honda CR-V which uses a http://www.crutchfield.com/p_12040HD10/ ... tab=review to connect my antenna. The blue wire was never connected. The question is whether my vehicle has an antenna amp somewhere else being turned on by that blue wire.

Thank you for the reply! Could you post a link to a similar unit on radioshack.com that would work for this application.

Just got my F700BT today. First opinions on the HD tuner: Signal Strength-How many bars? (the dish icon has bars) -- Mine fluctuates a lot! Analog to full bars. idk whats going on. Is your HD radio truly working? (The D letter showing up all the time) -- NO, analog mostly... I'm pissed. How close are you to the broadcast towers? (city/suburbs)... NW Chicago Suburbs... come on I should still have a decent signal. Compare your stock analog FM radio to your Avic... did it sound any better on your factory receiver? YES, factory had better reception. I got some FM static but not as

It's an instant rebate it should of been already included in the price. *not a mail in thing.

I wouldn't be surprised if they discontinued the 900bt and only have the 700bt to 90bt. Maybe pioneer will try and relaunch the F series with another software update... or not. who knows. Would it be cheaper for pioneer to just improve the F-series instead of developing a new product? I really could care less. My 700bt is being installed next week.

I'm not sure what gear you need but I used crutchfield.com to see all the install gear I needed before buying it sonicelectronix. I also visited forums dedicated to my car model to read their experiences with aftermarket A/V. Along with the 700BT I got the Wire Harness, In dash receiver kit, and a Motorola Male to OEM Female antenna adapter. The only reason why I'm holding off on the P10HD is so I can reuse the P20HD in the future or in case they come out with another update to the F series with added support for the P20HD.

I just ordered the same stuff! Nice! I'm waiting for the GEX-P20HD though.

Bico Stereo.com writes "Also compatible with AVICF900BT, AVIC-F700BT, AVH-P4100DVD, AVH-P3100DVD, DEH-P6100BT, DEH-P5100UB, DEH-P3100UB" Interesting how they know this (or just guessing) when the product hasn't been released. If this is true then maybe Pioneer will upgrade the F series to tag songs and show basic Now Playing info. Does the P10HD show Artist, Song, and Album info on the screen?

Thanks for the review of your unit... I just bought my first aftermarket head unit (F700BT)$450w/warranty I'm looking forward to getting it installed even with all the complaints. I really hope they come out with another major update to fix the glitchy F series and listen to your opinions and everyone else.
