  1. Hi again- Yes, I did reconnect my video cable, knowing that I would totally have to go back behind the unit again and try to solve it... so I still have the noise, but at least I know the source of it. I'm going to try a few things tomorrow myself.
  2. I tried two cables myself (two different Pioneer cables) and noticed that the 2nd one had worse noise than the first. I found that all my noise was from the video connection. When I pulled apart the yellow RCA, everything sounded fine. I've read that you can add a ground to an RCA but I can't picture how to do it.... I think that would at least solve my problem, and maybe yours. Have you tried seeing if it's the video connection causing the noise?
  3. Success! So to the poster who said to disconnect the remote lead... Why would this have caused a problem? Thanks for fixing it... I'm just a girl who wants to understand how it all works. Thanks again!!!
  4. OK folks, just have to disconnect and reconnect the battery, no jump starting... but I connected the 'remote amp turn on lead' the 2nd day it was installed... and that's when it started.... so I've disconnected that and turned the sub amp onto Auto Signal Sensing... we'll see if that helps. It's just weird because I could start the car 2 more times in a day or 6 more times and it works fine, it's only the first start up of the day.... we'll see. To be continued!
  5. Hi thanks for your reply... Do you mean the antenna amplifier or the remote sub amp turn on... Both of those are connected...
  6. Hello all, I recently installed a Pioneer F700BT in my 06 GTI and wired it up using a PAC harness (yup, already looking into Connects2- I know this but until then..). Things were fine for a few days but right now, the first start up every morning, the car doesn't turn over, goes completely dead, and I have to disconnect the battery and reconnect to get the car to start. The very first time this happened, I noticed the immobilizer light flashed, but it hasn't since then.... any ideas which wire I should check first in my connections? Could it be a bad PAC harness? I've tried searching under se
  7. I just double checked the manual and it does mention that if you select the voice with TTS capabilities, the audible message can be output. Check page 59 of the manual for the F700-900. I haven't tried it yet.
  8. I have a Dare and also the F700... the Dare and Voyager are very very similar so hopefully my input might help. I had to turn "ON" my phones bluetooth THEN make it visible to other devices THEN search for it through the head unit. It took a couple of trys, but it did work. At first I forgot to make it visible to other items, so check that setting on your phone...usually a message will pop up saying "Phone is visible to other devices for 3 minutes". Hope this helps.
  9. Hi! This weekend I installed the F700BT in my 06 MKV GTI (also CANBUS). Which wiring harness did you buy? Did you buy the CONNECT2 or PAC C2VWR harness that has the built in data module? It makes things much easier with our cars and pretty much plug and play. Let me know what kind of wire harness you purchased. Thanks
  10. Could you make this one but for an F series-- 800x480? Thanks!! I really appreciate it!
  11. Which series did you size this for? Could you resize to work for the "F" series? I've been looking for a plain ol' FAST just like that for my MKV!! Thanks! Jules
