Abb's NAV Mod V4.0 'All-in-One' -- Oct 24th '10
fusion600 replied to abb1's topic in Completed Mods/Themes
Absolutely why I made the suggestion. I really screwed up my back, and am on some serious narcotics for the pain so am not able to really contribute with the testing of this at all. I haven't been in my car in 6 weeks... the .bat file(s) should only take a couple of lines/seconds to create. Again, I have no way to test them right now. -

Abb, It seems that not everyone copies all the files to the right place, so I was wondering if it might be easier to put your upgrade into a single tree containing all files from the flash drive root. You could also include a batch file which would delete the userdata files with just a double click. I actually build the files into a tree as I copy the onto the SD for each upgrade to be sure I have all the files going into the right place. I don't think it would take you anymore time when preparing the uploads, and would save some people some time and frustration, which I know is wha -
Abb's Chrome NAV Mod V3.25 - Aug 30th '10

Hey Abb, here's one for you. I was driving my wife's Altima yesterday and she has steering wheel controls. She has a source button which works. it changes from FM/AM/CD/Ipod/SAT etc. with one button press. Can that functionality be added to the map screen somehow? it is a bit of a pain to change sources. I would love to have that in my Mustang. -

Abb it looks a lot better for sure, how will album art be reflected when using an Ipod? Will it be scaled down as well? I know you think it is quiet, but I bet there are a lot of "lurkers" like me who don't post very often. I really appreciate (as you know) all of your hard work. -

Cooll idea on the backup, I am just trying to think if there may be a better implementation of backing up select areas, like maps, typical mods (Data.zip....) or something like that. I haven't thought of it yet, but when I do I will pass on any ideas. again, very cool idea, gotta love Mortscript. -

I went to load these files and found out that they are all ready there, so i am thinking the speed traps and such are just something that was available for 2.0. Does anybody know if there are anymore databases we can add. If so let me know, in the mean time the search continues. Abb, again your mod is truly unbelievable. The more I mess with it the more features i find. Thanks! They are definitely available. I have them running with my 3.25 mod. They must be enabled in the settings, I believe they are called warnings. once you turn them on, you have to press on the settings (wrench) an -

@bassboy - No, I did not notice that. @Abb1 - v3.25 is Awesome, plus I got my voice recognition back on the map screen. Believe it or not, I missed that, but my wife REALLY missed that on hers. she uses it all the time. So needless to say, she tried it right off the bat, and is very happy, therefore, I am very very happy. GREAT Job!!! -

Update to say it is working flawlessly except the speed limit thing you already fixed. I did have one strange occurrence, but not certain. took my wife's car to work this morning, and on the way home, the Illum color was doing its cycle thing?? Can't see how that could be from the update though, so I still say it is working flawlessly. pretty much perfect. -

Driving to work this morning, got to thinking. What do you think about swapping the coordinates of the top bar and the clock/compass line, so that when we go with 100% transparency, what is left on the screen would be at the very top of the screen and not "hanging" there? just a thought. Also I think I am going to change the clock color to black since I can't read the yellow when it is sunny. I haven't tried doing it yet, but was wondering if you had and what your results were? Love this latest version. You certainly do continue to move this unit forward. big THANKS!!! -

Abb, Just put both your Nav and Theme on, and I really had to say AWESOME!!!! WOW, I haven't been on the forum in moths due to personal family illness, and when I came back, it seemed like everyone had left. Then I saw a link to this Completed Mods/Themes forum, and WOW!!! This is Awesome!!!! Great job putting this all together. couple of quick questions I hope you have time for. Where on the screen do I push to get my AV info back? or do I have to go to the AV main menu to change stations? Second, after the top bar fades away, how do I get it back? I know -

Sadly, I agree. It is strange how some people take pleasure out of frustrating people merely out to offer help to others. Not restricted only to this forum either. -

I have never gotten this error ( or any error) using this release. If this only happens with the "Beta" release, then ignore this, but just as an FYI I thought I should let you know. -
I overwrote modded firmware on 2 units without a problem. I don't have a Mac.

Are you deleting the IGO folder from the user/userdata folder first? -

3D cars is possible with this mod as I have it running. Unfortunately I am not certain what exactly is needed. Here is what I did: Using 7zip I unpacked the data.zip and copied the snowmobile.mdl and tex file to the gfx folder. The using 7zip I recreated the data.zip I also added the 3dcars folder to the root and the themechanger folder with mortscript incisde to the root as well. I have tried hot_rod_red and snowmobile and they both work. Here is what I added to my sys.txt [map] 3d_scale_carmodel=1 3d_roads=1 3d_max_tiltlevel=8800 3d_max_zoomlevel=1500 3dcarsizemin= -
Installed 3.0...verified...but steering wheel presets don't!
fusion600 replied to skanji's topic in Hacks/Mods
I would definately try that, I don't know if the control box would be covered under that warranty or not, but defiantely it should work, and it isn't so they should fix it. Good Luck with Future Shop!! -

fusion600 replied to skanji's topic in Hacks/Mods
All I can tell you is that it works for me, and there must be something messed up on yours. I don't know the process or procedure you did to do your "upgrade", however, the presets work on mine. Which box are you using to connect to your steering wheel?
