Check out the Hacks/Mods section of these forums, there are quite a few threads on this. You'll need to get into the testmode to install a user splash screen.

My 3G seems to charge fine so far. I left the house with a little lower than a full charge, plugged in the phone with the Pioneer cable, kept playing through the iPod on my phone the whole trip (approx. 20 minutes of driving) and when I got home the phone was fully charged.

Same question here. I'm looking to update the FL maps to the latest, I DL'd the ones off http://igo8.gpssoftware.us/igo8.0.htm but am waiting to install them. I have Cmh28's mod installed already, so the hacked EZRider file is already on my system. Therefore, installing these maps (if they are indeed the latest and newer than included in Cmh28's - if not, no point to do so) should just require copying the state's files into the appropriate folder? Thanks for any and all help!

I had the same problems you had (aside from the fan running constantly, not sure because I didn't listen to it) in my '08 Jetta with the same stock radio you have. I took the parking brake wire and just tapped into the wiring harness ground wire, no problems there. However once you start moving it still blocks access, so you can either do what the others posted about tapping the other wire or use the software bypass like I did. It worked great! As for the accessory power you'll need, I tapped into the interior lighting fuse spot and that worked, but that was temporary and now seeing wher

That's odd, I didn't change anything on my iPhone 3G other than list the names to First Last. I did have issues connecting to my F700 initially, then realized that it might be because my iPhone's name had spaces and symbols in it. I changed it to just one word and then it sync'd up perfectly, and all numbers transferred without a hitch! Not sure if that might help you out, but just a thought. Sal

Nevermind, finally got it to work. I renamed my SD card so there weren't any spaces, seemed to be the case with my iPhone's name as well. This unit doesn't like spaces or symbols apparently...

Hi everyone, I tried backing up my data onto a 4GB SDHC Class 6 card. I get into test mode fine, start copying files fine but then it hangs on a file called media something or other (within a minute of copying). Anyone have any idea about this? I'm really looking forward to uploading a user-created set posted here by Cmh928! Also, does anyone have a fresh set of the original settings that I might be able to download should I not be able to back mine up? I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks. Sal
