apple screwed its first purchasers who bought the i phone. charging them extreme amounts of money then a couple of months dropping the price to 199. all they got was a 100 rebate. this update better be worth the 60 i paid. but i have no loyalty to pioneer. whoever makes the best product is whom i will purchase from. i did a lot of research and th f series scored high. makes me wonder how much worse the other nav's were

will i lose all gps favorites when updating?? or any other data?

How would it be linked to our serial number? Do we have to pull the unit out to get to the serial number if we don't have the box anymore? i remember having to put a serial number when getting my msn trial. it then uses secret gps satellites to confirm authentication. its probably done the same way
