  1. Ok, sorry, but this is like greek to me. This is my first experience with an emulator. Where do I input this data?
  2. I know where you are coming from, it was not that long ago that I was where you are. My suggestion is to do as much research as you can before attempting to mod your unit. There are a lot of friendly people here to help you out! Cheers, and good luck!
  3. The Wiki only works for 2.0, not 3.0
  4. Uhhh, how do you make a button on the main screen to access the menus?
  5. I made an icon on the main screen I comment out when I am done that allows me to click on it and get to the settings screen to see that info. The bad part is there is no way to go back to the map screen once I have done that and have to exit the emulator and get back into it. I know why everyone is putting so much into this, but be advised I have found what works or doesn't in the emulator does not always act the same in the car when driving so you may want to fall back on that for further testing. This is just so frustrating. I was working on some mods (not NAV). I just came out of surg

    Updated Maps

Why is there even a license file? What is the point of the hacked ezrider? I am not to sure, I thought it had something to do with the building files to be displayed in the 2.0 firmware, I could be wrong though. Right now, I have the ezrider, but no license file and all works good. I do have 3.0 though

    Updated Maps

The maps are just map files. Just download the 2009.6 maps, put them onto a flash drive. Then back up all your old maps(just in case), Delete them from your 'igo/content/maps' folder and then add your new maps. You should be rocking. Yes, the 3.0 / 01 update has older maps. They have the 2008/10 maps. After that, there are 2009.2 maps and then 2009.6 (latest) maps.
  8. This is kinda rediculous. This pertains only to those that want to do mods to their NAV. There have been several questions asked to 'how to get the emulator to work with the AV menu, mainmenu, etc.' and this has been ignored totally. I have been trying to work at this for several days now with no luck, so if someone out there knows how to check the mods (mainMenu, AV, TEL) using the emulator with 3.0, please let us know. If there is no way of doing this, or if you do not know(the main contributors to this post), then let us know this as well! I just dont want to be racking my brains out for so
  9. It works, but ONLY for the NAV end. It is no good for anything else, which is kinda pointless as most of the themes that I work on are for the main menu and AV part of the unit.
  10. yeah, I tried it to and it would not install. it said I had to install a device driver, I followed the address and it says it is no longer available. Okay.....I got all files installed and I am following the procedures to a 'T'. As soon as I open MAINMENU, TEL, or NAVI , I get an error message wanting to send an error report to Microsoft. I think this is someones idea of a stupid joke
  11. Yes, but allo that changes is the NAV themes, that is it. It does not get you into the main menu or the AV menu
  12. Hi Dave, this is great, but it is only for making changes in the NAV section. What about making changes in the main menu, or the AV menu?
  13. Either you messed up the hardware or software. This is easy. You say that you put everything the way it was, so that leaves it to the software. There is two ways to fix this. 1) reinstall your backup 2) If you have 3.0 installed and NO BACKUP, then download the hacked version, do not go through the install, but rather copy 'My Flashdisk' found in the x910bt.zip file and install that after erasing your entire flashdisk.
  14. Yes, that is definately not the bypass wire. You have to follow the instructions here: viewtopic.php?t=17013 You should not have attempted this until you were 100% at what you were doing. Failure to do so, can permanently ruin your unit. My suggestion is to go in reverse and UNDO EVERYTHING that you have done!, and then follow the directions that I just gave you the link to.
  15. I also purchased the 3.0 update and could not get it to work after I had already gotten my device ID and password. I then said 'to hell with it' and installed the hacked version hich works like a charm. I contacted Pioneer and told them what I did. They said it was no big deal as I have already got a device ID and password and the hacked version is identical to the update. I will just need the device ID and password for when I update the firmware again. So, my suggestion to you is to upload the hacked version! All will be good
  16. I am confused as to why you just spliced the two wires together without grounding them to either the frame or the black ground to the deck when it clearly tells you to do so. As far as the password, I have NEVER been asked for a password....ever, except when I updated to the 3.0 version. My suggestion is to redo the bypass and follow the directions 100% and do not take shortcuts. You also have to make sure that when relocating the mute wire pin that it is inserted properly. If not, you will have an error message come up. Good luck!
  17. yes, just extract the image.res file and install it in 'My Flash Disk/APL' folder and if it asks to overwrite the existing file, just say 'yes' and you should be set to go.
  18. Yes, of course, you have to go to Supermans original download and add Navi only download to get the navigational settings in red too. It is just the image.res file that needs to be changed for 3.0, and that has no effect on the NAV
  19. Hey Superman, I tried to send you the files and it says 'the required username does not exist'. Did you delete your account?
  20. Everything will be the same as it is in 2.0. The only difference is the telephone box which has been placed here: I will send you the files.
  21. Yes it will work. The only difference is that your phone buttons will be all over the place. This can be fixed by adding 2 files into your TEL folder and any 2.0 theme can be converted to work to work with 3.0. I have done this with Supermans red theme in a seperate post already
  22. Here is one I did for my car. I am probably the only one driving a Saturn, as the unit is not supposed to fit, but it does .
  23. have you tried running the batch file? What batch file???? I went to the microsoft page and followed those instructions
  24. Wow, you got something messed up. There is no 'My flash disk' in this mod. This is the NAV mod, not the 3.0 update found here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25751
