Abb's NAV Mod V4.0 'All-in-One' -- Oct 24th '10
abb1 replied to abb1's topic in Completed Mods/Themes
No, I find that emulators suck in the fact that it is unreliable, and it has no impact on the Main/AV screen, only the Nav section, and only part of the Nav. What I have done is get another Avic, and use one Avic beside my computer hooked up to an ATX power supply, just for modding. It is because of this that I am able to produce such detail in my mods. Before I did this, my modding was very limited -

A lot of the screens will be updated as well as some of the functionality. The only thing that will remain, will be the basic Nav screen as I like the openess and clear view. -

Excellent, I don't mind you posting it, just give me the credit for my work in it. All my Nav mods I have built around IDT's and Diaftias mods which, without their wisdom, these mods would not be as they are today. That is what modding is all about, using mods and creating them to your liking and even improving upon them, and the changes that you have done, is still your work. -
That is why I remote start my car before I get into it. All I gotta do is press a button on my cell phone or my key , it is sort of like pressing the button to unlock your car, that simple!

Alex, the trip computer works 100% for me. I have been testing it now for months and still use it on a daily basis and it has NEVER failed me. I have put up several posts regarding this issue as it was something that I have been working on to try and figure out and find out why it works and WHAT makes it work. Download my mod and use the parameters that I have used and try it. Keep in mind that the trip computer is a COMPUTER, which means it NEEDS data at a starting point to perform calculations. Most people get in their cars and put it in gear and speed off and then say 'duh, why isn't my tri

It WORKS! If it does not, then it is something you are doing wrong, or you are not using the latest test mode file. I have been using my altered test mode and it has been working like a charm since. I can send you my test mode file with it all changed, but it will be a few days as I am away on business and won't be back until the end of the week. Try to get it working, if you can't do it, then let me know and I will send it to you later. -

To get these fonts to work in your main theme, you have to configure them in the testmode. Instructions are here in one of these mods, just do a search, and then use the modified 'tahoma' font that I have in the APL2 file, or that you now have -
Diaftia's Hybrid mods V2.3 - UPDATED: 01/14/10

I have been playing with the smartzoom for quite some time (becaused of chucks request) earlier on in my mod. My findings were that the smartzoom does not work in the way it does in IDT's mod BECAUSE of the tilt settings! To me the tilt settings is what makes the smartzoom bearable, but that is my opinion, however, I am not going to get rid of the tilt settings as I find that they are an improvement in 'smartzoom'. However, if the tilt settings are ignored, then it would probably make Chuck happy, and it would work pretty close to the way he wants it. -

I removed all the MSN crap, scripts and all, from my mod (not the one that i have released), but my personal mod, simply because it will never be availabe in my area and it is just taking up valuable memory. Within a year, it will just be a useless button anyways as Microsoft is going to shut it down

Also new in V5 will be an expanded Route Menu. You now have the option to add a speed camera, add a push pin at a desired spot, and also remove it. This was all available before, but you had to go through the curser menu which was a pain. These features are now accessible by a push of a button. These functions will be available on route or no route -

Hmmm, yeah, there seems to be a problem, however, 39 downloads went ok. I would try again tomorrow. If it still has problems, I will try to re-download the file. -

I get bored with something VERY QUICKLY! I am working on changing just about everything, backgrounds, buttons, etc.. So far, I have changed over 400 bmp's . I will continue to put up pictures, and if I get strong feedback, then I will post it as a V5. If I get very little feedback, then I wont post it as posting these mods is a LOT of work and the popularity is going down -
I know where you are coming from. i will always be continuing to mod as it is what I enjoy, and also, with my system being constantly modded, it is like having a new system everytime . However, it is a lot of time to upload these mods, post pictures, descriptions, and then post it without much appreciation, or comments regarding if they like it or not, it is discouraging. I put a poll up to see which background people prefer and only 8 people voted out of 124 views. This tells me that nobody gives a rats ass and this is discouraging, but not as discouraging as when I was on the forum at a pe

Yes it is! When I put up my next update, it will be posted as V5 as there are so many graphical changes as well as interface changes, that it really doesn't look like the same V4 anymore -

Yes, that is correct, all you have to do is remover the semicolon before the EU version and add the semicolon on the US line
