Hey there, this is an awesome NAV scheme. The buildings in the screenies on Page 53, are they in the install files or are they in a seperate download? Also, I live in Canada, Will the building files and POI be good there?

As far as I know, there are no mods for this here. There are mods like this though for windows mobile that have a GPS built in to their phone such as the HTC Touch, Diamond, etc..

Thanks for the info! I checked out the update on youtube and there is nothing special about the update at all . The only difference is newer maps. You would figure that if Pioneer charges $120 US for the update, that they would at least improve the UI some and make it look better, god it looks like it was designed by some kid in his basement. I am going to try to mod the shit out of it so that at least I will feel semi-good about spending $60 ($75 cdn) on it

Thanks Boris, The Navi skins I am not to worried about as there are a lot of good ones to choose from. I just want a colour scheme for my UI as the black and grey from Pioneer sucks. I used the Apple Red theme and it is awesome, a much improvement. I really would like to see this on my 3.0 when I get it. Are there any colour themes available for the 3.0? I

Thank you, I found the link in the Canadian Pioneer site. There it was only on for $75 cdn until Sept 30, so I purchased it. I hope it is worth the upgrade as I got some real sweet mods on my 2.0 system. I have looked at the file structure though of the 3.0 file (hacked one), and it is generally the same as the 2.0 version. Why cant the 2.0 mods sucha as the apple red theme which changes the look be used in the 3.0 version? I have been told in a previous post that 2.0 UI mods cannot be used in the 3.0, but I dont understand why as the file paths and structures are all the same. You are just ch

I think you are missing the point. I want to know WHY the update is worth it! I have some great mods installed on my 2.0 version. There are not to many mods available for the 3.0 except for some NAV mods. I just dont want to go back to that crappy UI of Pioneer, that looks just to plain. What features does the 3.0 version have that is better than the 2.0? All I am reading is responsiveness and a better NAV system. If that is it, I dont see the point of giving up some of these great mods that are available. Can you please be more specific, Thanks

Somebody please help...I have a completely useless unit at this point. Reflash back to either the 2.006 firmware which you can get from Pioneers website or try reflashing the 3.0 firmware again from scratch. Either way should solve your problem

I am just wondering, just about everyone has the 3.0 update. Is it worth upgrading to it as I now have the red theme which looks awesome, and the 2.0 works great. There are no UI pics of the 3.0, so that leads me to believe that it is nothing special. What is so great about the 3.0? I want to know as it is a risk cuz a lot of guys here seem to have had problems with it and the installation. Is the UI the same? What is different compared to the 2.0?

Is this for 2.0 or 3,0 ? The reason that I am asking is that I am still on 2.0 and I would love a cool Nav theme except that they are all for the 3.0 firmware

Hey, I love your mod, however, is there any way that I can get the 2.0 version. All links are gone and I got to many great mods to let go of my 2.0 version, so going to the 3.0 is not an option (esp since I have not seen any screen shots of the UI)

I have no problem paying for the update, however, I am in Canada and there is NO UPDATE for 3.0 available in Pioneer.ca. The only update that they have there is 2.006. Can someone give me a link as to where I can purchase this update with Canada and US maps?

Ok, a few questions about this update as I dont have the time to read 33 pages.... 1) Is the GUI different or the same, can we have some pictures if it is different? 2} Will my theme mods still work with this as I have the Red Theme installed and I love it 3) What is the difference between this and the purchased version at Pioneer? 4) Where can you get the purchased version as I cannot find it on Pioneers site? 5) does this update have Canadian maps? Hi, I am a newb! I got a few questions. Right now all I have is the Red Theme as far as hacks are concerned. I have the original firmware, I believe it is 2.0. 1) Is this hack for version 3.0 or will it work on my 2,0 firmware? 2) Do I need just the three files as there are so many, IDT_3.0v4.3_EU, IDT_3.0v4.3_MSN, IDT_3.0v4.3 3) Will this mess up my Red Theme? No, that wont work with my phone as the only option it gives me to send the contact is to Beam it. When I try that, it shows no devices that I can Beam to as beaming is done through infra red port. I tried again today to transfer my contacts and it first starts by saying that it will take a while to transfer and then hit 'OK'. I do that and then it says to send them as business card or to continue on and hit 'OK'. I do so and then it says 'NO PHONE NUMBER' ..... Yeah, I have a phone number, I have 104 of them in my contacts

I am assuming that the phone has to be registered as all functions work with the Nav system, just not the contacts or the phone book transfer. Is there any way of typing them in manually? I will tell you tonight what the 'exact' message is as I will try it again.

Hey guys, I am new here and this seems like a great forum! I just got my F700BT today and I ran into a major glitch. I have over 100 contacts in my HTC Touch Diamond and they will not transfer to my system. The phone is paired correctly as it works great on the system, but when I try to transfer my phone book over, it says phonebook not found, or something like that. The reason that this is a major glitch is that this is partially the reason that I got this unit, so that I can use the contacts folder on my F700BT to make calls:(. Please help!
