  1. For everyone trying to get a hold of a lifetime subscription for $129.99 you may want to take a look at this: https://www.msndirect.com/MSNDirectServ ... ement.aspx It seems MSN direct will only be available until Jan 1, 2012. A little simple calculation and you will realize that it is only available for another 2 years and 2x1 years subscription ($49.95) is $99.90. Why would you want to pay $129.99 when its cheaper to get the yearly subscriptions?
  2. Does anyone know if the 3.0 firmware upgrade contains a navigation instruction mute button. I can deal with loosing many of the mods, but I need to be able to mute the voice prompts. Thanks.
  3. Seriously!?!? I should have read the manual!!! I was cussing Pioneer for being stupid enough to not have a mute!! I guess I was the stupid one... !! I'm pretty sure you will still be disappointed after trying the mute button. Most people agree its a real low point for the unit. Half the time you will activate the voice prompt, and the other half you end up zooming the map. If you are lucky enough to actually mute it, you now have to get it out of mute which is just as hard. I'm not sure if it works better with the replacement buttons posted in this forum, but with the stock button it
  4. you have to search for btnNMB_Cursor and btnNMB_Pos in other ui files and change the y values as well Thanks. Do you happen to know the other ui files that I need to change. I guess I could always so a search for files containing the words, but if you happen to know what files, that would be even easier.
  5. I know that the music part of the unit has not been hacked yet, but is it possible to create a button on the map screen to set the AV Source to "OFF". I need a quick way of turning off the stereo and it seems that the easiest solution would simply to press an "OFF" button on the map screen. Thanks for the help. This forum rocks.
  6. I tested it out and it works quite well. I followed all your advice and this is what I did. In navigatemap_800_480.ui I combined the 2d\3d & linear compass code to: ;<> < < and in the navigatemap.ui (I am only posting the code that I changed so please don't replace all the code under the headings) When you are on the 3d screen you have the linear compass, and when you press it it changes to 2d mode where you have an icon that looks like a compass (its just an image since 2d is north up only anyway). It works pretty well and I have not run into any
  7. I was actually planning on using two different compasses so having the same icon will not be a problem. Actually, since 2D is North up only, I will probably just make that an icon that doesn't change, and use the linear compass for 3D. Ill give the code a try and I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for your input.
  8. Does anyone know how to script the compass button to be the button that switches between 2D and 3D? What I am trying to do is to have a linear compass in 3d, and a circular compass in 2D, and use the button (s) to switch between the two modes. Then of course also remove the other button. Any help would be appreciated.
