It looks to be the Digital Elevation Map. It might be used for the 3D part of the nav i dont really know.

thanks for the update on your mod. i was waiting for this so i can start working on my apple mod for the nav.

i have a question about picture 11. does the green highway overlap the your speed sign all the time. if not is there gonna be a fix in the next update.

All the mods are added already to the Base X910Backup with 3.010100 Update download. You only have to add the DEM & Map's you want. I have this update running on my F90BT. From what i understand from reading the avic411 the F & X series are all same base OS. Just make sure you make a copy of your unit before you start playing with it. Here is the 2009 map install. It will help you with your install and should cover all your questions. Please remember that you only got new maps & pio's. so dont delete all the content in your folder in step 7. also make sure you backed up your unit before you start playing around.

Copy and paste the LICENSE folder & hacked ezrider.exe in the root of your iGo folder. You need them to run the new 2010 maps. With out them the 2010 maps will not work.

I will continue to work on the theme making improvments as a go. Just about all of the bmps have been edited to create this new theme. Its been along time in the making. More like a full time job somedays. So enjoy & dont forget to post any BMP bugs you might see.

Please also note that i dont have HD Radio or Sirius. If any can post post some picture of the raw pioneer HD radio & the Apple theme HD Radio that would help me out. Anything over 1024X*** will work fine & in focus.

Here is the beta of the Apple theme i been working on. The theme is not complete & i'm still working on it. The theme is over 75% complete and will pass as a good theme till i finish it. Also included is an Apple splash screen that can be loading up from the system menu on the unit. If you find anything that doesn't look right post a picture of the problem and i will see what i can do. Testmode is included with the download. Some bmp's from imBasketCase was used in this theme.

How To:

01) make sure you are willing to put this on your unit and you are doing this AT YOUR OWN RISK.

02) make sure you have a complete back-up of your unit before starting this mod.

03) copy the folder to a FRESHLY FORMATTED SD CARD

04) put the sd card into your unit and start your car/power your unit

05) windows CE will boot up.

06) double click on MY DEVICE

07) Double click on STORAGE CARD

08) COPY and PASTE the folder APL and close folder

09) double click on MY DEVICE

10) double click on MY FLASH DISK

11) click EDIT & PASTE

12) once everything is copied to your unit. turn your car off and eject your SD card after the unit is off

13) enjoy!!!!!

I am confused, how can anything work if it freezes up at the loading screen?

The igo in the APL2 folder doesn't load for me. the other igo in the APL4 works fine.

if you can get into the wincd upgrade menu or testmode you might have a chance. upgrade the wince & reinstall the software and maps.

i haven't really done anything to the theme in the past week. i did manage to get a round to the EQ menu. i still have some eq bmps to change around.

i also started on the radio / sat radio BG bmp. as you can see it still doesn't look right. im still looking for an apple/mac radio icons in png or psd.

the video is nothing to fancy. it just shows you the basic xm menu. its just a short 30 sec clip. here is a sample video of the theme.

Edit: i think i have the bg for the sat/radio done. i will check it when i get up in the morning and post the pics.

i tried to fix the multi-route/plan to keep everything in the button area. I moved the button lower & pulled the distance & time over so it wasn't bunched up all togther anymore. The new version is on the left & old is on the Right.

Loaded the maps and everything went fine, however the USA_83_CGIAR_081010.dem file in the DEM folder is too big to fit in the folder. Is this file needed, and what should i do?

you can remove some unused states in your map folder. Im only using the state i live in & 2 others states i drive into.

Here is the striped down version of the Avic X910 with update 3.010100. I also added some new mods to the basic install. This also has the WinCE file that was in the 3.010100 update. Please note that this does not have any MAPS, POI or DEM files. And alway back-up your files. This will work with your old MAPS, POI & DEM files. I added Direct Downloads to the files. This is now a full upgrade to 3.010100 & 2010 maps. Check out the Mods & Themes.

If you dont have a back up of your unit start here first. Don't skip this step or you might be sorry later. First make a copy of your old My Flash Drive folder before you do anything.

Make a Back-Up of your AVIC:

1. Copy just the Testmode folder to the root of your SD Card. This will boot the unit to the Wince menu.

2. Double Tap "My Device"

3. Copy the "My Flash Disk" to your "Storage Card' SD Card.

4. Copy files to your PC & burn a copy if you like.

If you already have a copy of your "Flash Disk" start here. Extract the Winrar zip file to the root of a freshly formated FAT32 SD Card.

WinCE Upgrade & 3.010100 update:

1. Insert SD card into AVIC and turn it on.

2. When the pioneer logo comes up, press and hold the menu, map, eject and the reset buttons at the same time.

When your screen goes completely blank, let go of the reset button but continue to hold menu, map, and eject buttons.

This will bring you to a blue screen, telling you to reset the unit (ignore this), you will have to enter the service combination.

Press the volume knob in this sequence and you will see * signs for each. F90BT: push: Up, Up, Down, Menu, Left, Right.

3. Select Wince Upgrade

4. Select Update SD Format (This will clean your flash memory. Thats why you made a Back Up copy.)

5. Wait until it says restart in the bottom center. Reset the unit and leave the SD card in.

6. You should be greeted with testmode (It will look very similar to normal windows). Open My Device and copy the contents of the "Storage Card/SD Card" to the root of "My Flash Disk" that is located on the unit. Overwrite everything. (It will the copying will take 140min but will only take about 20)

7. Press and hold reset for 5 seconds.

8. Select your language and voice options.

9. Enjoy FX3.3.010100
