  1. You could try downgrading the bluetooth software and then upgrading it back up. I posted a link about this in another post. I have found that if I had sync'd my ipod but not updated the VR catalog, then the voice commands would do the playing all songs thing. Have you updated the VR catalog lately?
  2. Looks like you had the same problem as I did. I'm glad the downgrade/upgrade of the software worked for you too! I'm really loving my F90BT now, but I was initially a little disappointed. Fixing the bluetooth helps a lot. Who would have thought you would have to reinstall the bluetooth software to a brand-new unit. Oh, well. It's working well now.
  3. I'm glad to hear "Play Song" is working for some. I can't get it to work, but maybe I have too many songs or I didn't pick the right ones to test. I'll try again after I update the VR library again. Anyhow, I'm glad it's working for somebody.
  4. I took a look at mine and toggled the repeat when on the ipod source. It did not let me turn the repeat off. Very odd. It's not that big of a deal to me, but Pioneer should fix that and add the option to turn the repeat off.
  5. I'll have to try to "Play Song ..." again and see if I can get it to work. Would be a great feature. Will post an update to the thread if I can get it working. I have a lot of songs, though, so maybe if it doesn't work for me it could still work for you.
  6. If you have a backup of your My Flash Disk then you could restore that. Maybe there's another way to reinstall the software. I'd check the hardware first but I'm not too knowledgeable about the software. Maybe someone else can give you a better idea how to troubleshoot the software side of things.
  7. There is a setting to turn a sub on or off but I don't know if that's the solution to your problem. I've never had an amp or sub. Maybe somebody else can give you a better idea.
  8. bluetooth update is at the following: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... e+Download go about half way down the page to Step two. It has both files on there. they are hard to see. Look closely and you'll find them. The software for Sony Ericson W300i or Samsung SGH-U900 phones is the earlier version. Best of luck. I hope the software solves your problem or a problem for anyone else looking at this thread.
  9. Page 162 of the F90BT manual explains that ERROR2 is a disc reading error. It is very helpful having the manual: just google Pioneer "model number" manual pdf and you'll find it easily. It'll just take 5 minutes or so to download. Anyhow, I'd suggest trying a variety of media. If a variety of different CD and DVD media all have a "read" error, then you might have a hardware problem. I'm sure you're putting the media in rightside up and not upside down.
  10. I don't know how your sub is connect or if you're running an amp. Can't help you there. In addition to editing your phone as is described in other posts, you could also boot into testmode (see other threads on how to do that), copy the phonebook database, download a program somebody posted on here that will let you edit your phonebook and even reorder entries, and then put the updated file back onto your head unit. You'd have to search for the threads that explain how to do it. This worked great for me and I am endebted to all those who made this possible.
  11. Now you've got to troubleshoot why you're getting no GPS signal now. I'm sure you're parked outside while testing it. Where is the GPS receiver? If you have time, you could pull out your head unit, make sure the GPS cable is attached to the head unit, and also make sure the GPS antenna is exposed to the sky. If the GPS is in line of sight of the sky and the cable is plugged into the head unit and not pinched then you can rule that out.
  12. I've got my yellow-red-white cables connected to the iPod (along with USB) and I did the AV1 setting initially. The iPod worked fine. After disconnecting my battery, the AV1 setting was lost and after connecting my car battery again and booting the unit I went crazy when I couldn't hear the iPod until I finally noticed I needed to do the AV1 setting again. I was going crazy until I figured that out. So, if you disconnect the battery, just be sure to set the AV1 setting again if the AV1 setting gets lost. Of course, make sure the yellow-red-white are connected too.
  13. There may be an initial setting that programs your initial location as in California. Is your car parked outside? Do you receive GPS signals? Or, are you getting no GPS signal so the California default is shown on the map? If you drive around, does the map move or is it stationary? If you do not get a GPS signal, you need to correct that problem first.
  14. My Bluetooth did not pair with either of my phones out of the box. Since I had a Parrot ck3100 that worked really well and so many people on the boards complained about bluetooth I just installed it also. However, before I put the Parrot ck3100 in there, I programmed the PACSWIPS remote control. After putting the Parrot in, it worked great but my steering wheel remote became flaky. To fix the built-in Bluetooth in the Pioneer, I just downgraded the Bluetooth software and then upgraded it. I got the Bluetooth working and my wife says it's OK but maybe sounds just a little worse to her than
  15. Out of the box, my bluetooth did not work at all. I could not even pair a device. I downgraded the bluetooth software using what I downloaded from Pioneer's website and then I paired my phones and they worked. I then upgraded the bluetooth software back to the most recent and I was able to pair my phones and the bluetooth works. Odd that the bluetooth downgrade and then upgrade worked, but it did in my case. I don't know if it would help you, but maybe you could try that.
