  1. I know different people like different software but I wanted to get a few oppinions on what software you like / have installed? Right now I've been usign my 1.0 stock unit for about a year because I was suprised that it wasn't as awful as people have said.. but there are a few times it's taken me a mile out of my way in teh wrong direction only to tell me to U-turn. It's weird it would actually tell me to go left instead of right... So now i've decided to update teh software.. I've had tomtom and garmin in the past... on other gpss and my htc phones.. about me, i'm techie and
  2. so how is the file name scheme working? year.month ? or year.version ? because technically mathmatically, year.10 = year.1 and thus year.4 = newer unless it's going by what month is next.. i've seen people act like each is newer .1(0) and .4 I've got 8.3.2 and I'd like the latest poi's, and the lastest map because the dc 495 beltway has a new exit near me that would change my routes drastically for the better if it new it was there.
  3. I have basicly the same phone.. nice job. Where'd you get that mp3 holder? I'm guessing you are probably already aware that the fuze can be used as a USB flash drive as well.. so theoreticaly you could run a PPC torrent program, download any movie (you already own ahem) and plug it up to watch, letting the AVIC do the video processsing vs the fuze. If I'm not mistaken, there's a website with links to ppc formated movies, which may be pretty good to slap into a usb and play on the avic.
  4. if you have a sprint HTC touch pro, you can video out rom your phone, either sprint TV or streamed from your home pc with orb. there is a software hack that allows you ot use the plug that came with the phone, and a standard ipod type of wire. for more info go to ppcgeeks.com and do a search. I may end up doing this..
  5. Has anyone explored the bluetooth funcionality and tried to add any objects like mouse, keyboard or use FTP? i'd really like ot use my bt keyboard as well as have FTP use for mods
  6. LOL I see POI has a seperate folder.. no wonder my POI's weren't showing up.. and thus PIO files are completely irrelevant to my post. Leetloader rocks!
  7. I use IGO 8 and it doesn't load all of the maps by default, it loads them as needed, like when you type in a state with it's address or you cross state lines. This is the best way to make GPS software IMO unless you just have an abudance of ram. This mod isn't going to make the program any faster nor save you ram, BUT there *IS* a benefit to being tidy and neatly tucking away the states you don't need. If you tuck them away, they wont' be in your way to select the states you actually DO need. Go into your igo8/content/map directory... create a new folder.. and move all the maps you r
  8. You guys don't need to replace the wav files. Simply create a new folder, and drag and drop those 4 files into the new folder. Thus you delete and backup in one step. You don't need to replace the files. They don't program the software as some flawless program.. it would be terribly bloated if they did. They obviously didn't putin a "check for wav file, if missing EXIT" line in their code.. worse case scenario if they did, they may have put "check for wav file, if exist play it, if not, skip playing it" line. People have already stated they have deleted the file successfully.
