  1. Have you added or removed songs and/or videos to/from the ipod? If so you need to allow the unit to update the iPod VR catolougue. It seems that sometimes, when you make changes to the data on the iPod it throws off the whole VR. Samantha will repeat the correct song/artist etc, but then play the incorrect song. Hope this helps. As for the poster above who is having problems with contacts, sounds like you need to perform the contacts hack. Search the site for it and you'll find detailed instructions.
  2. anybody? any thoughts or suggestions?
  3. I finally got my F90bt installed yesterday and so far I love it. Everything seems to be working great except for an issue I'm having with my iPhone3G. It connects and plays both music and video as it should, but the volume seems to be set at a constant level. What I mean is, regardless of what volume F90 is set to (even if it's on 0, turned all the way down) the sound level will not change. Volume is not controllable or changeable from HU or iPod. Attempting to change the volume has no affect. I checked the wires and the AV1 setting and there were no problems. Everything plays fine ex
  4. @Misfit I need a F90bt installed in an Audi Allroad. Think you can do it? I sent you a PM.
  5. Just watched your video and I must admit... I'm a little scared. You sound just like me: Bought off Amazon (from an authorized Pioneer Seller, factory sealed from Pioneer but it was a Refurb so only 90 day warranty), bought all of the wiring from various places, wired everything I felt like I was qualified to wire and am currently looking forward to dropping it all off at my custom shop on Saturday so I can spend the remainder of my Memorial Day Weekend enjoying my new F90bt. I don't know what I'd do if my unit were to function (or malfunction) like this. I do know that I'd be pissed, for
  6. Thanks to all who replied. All of your input is appreciated, but goes to show that everyone will have their own personal opinions when it comes to speakers. I was able to get some really good deals so I decided to try both of the options I was considering. I found an enclosed 12" Pioneer Premier Champion Series Subwoofer (500W RMS) and an enclosed pair of 10" MTX Thunder4500's (225W RMS) for $100 each, so I bought them both. I also bought an Alpine 500W RMS Mono amp, so once I get it installed, I'll try both options and see which one works better for me. I was actually thinking that if th
  7. I ordered the same back-up cam from Amazon for $90. I just got it delivered today, but I wont have it or the F90bt installed until Saturday. If it helps, I can post my opinions of the camera's quality and how well it works with the HU then. As you stated, it seems to have gotten the best reviews of back-up cameras within a similar price range, but I won't know for sure until I see for myself.
  8. +1 on the HTC... my old 8525 worked excellently with the F900 in my friends car. That experience was actually part of the reason I decided to get an F-Series Avic for myself.
  9. I'm currently in the process of replacing my 2001 Audi Allroad's factory Bose Symphony I system with a Pioneer Avic F90BT HU and I have a couple questions regarding speakers and Amps. While I intend to completely replace all Bose equipment eventually (probably sometime this fall) financially, that's just not an option for me right now. Therefore, for the time being I'm running the Pioneer HU through the factory installed Bose system for the cabin, but I plan to remove the Bose subwoofer immediately and run my own directly from the HU through an aftermarket Amp. My problem is that I can
  10. I couldn't find it in stock anywhere either, but I was told on an Audi forum that the Clarion double din install kit fits better and works well with an Avic install so thats what I got. I ordered it for $19.99 from Crutchfield. I'll be installing this weekend so I'll let you know how it works for me if you can't find the Pioneer kit before then.
