Here is the theme I have created. It has taken me several months and several different versions before I was satisfied with the results. I have posted some pictures but I have to warn you, they DO NOT do the theme justice. It looks much better on the unit than what the pictures display. PLEASE NOTE - I do not have an iPod, Digital radio, XM, or Sirius so these screens have not been developed, tested, or mother approved. Ah, no, it is not IMPOSSIBLE to change the font. I have done it several times on my 900BT and it works just fine. I did not run into any problems over-writing the tahoma font on the unit and restart after restart, the font remains. So, don't say it's IMPOSSIBLE when clearly, IT IS POSSIBLE (just not for you maybe). What firmware are you running? The most recent, 3.01 I think. But alas, I do stand corrected, kind of. It appears that the font will stick until you boot back into test mode. Something must trigger that restores the file to its original unless it is replaced again. If you don't

Does anyone know how to change the font color? I was able to change the font type, but I want to change the font from white to black so I can use lighter colored buttons in my Image.res.

yeah, I tried it to and it would not install. it said I had to install a device driver, I followed the address and it says it is no longer available. Okay.....I got all files installed and I am following the procedures to a 'T'. As soon as I open MAINMENU, TEL, or NAVI , I get an error message wanting to send an error report to Microsoft. I think this is someones idea of a stupid joke Yea, I get the same error message. Guess I'll try the other emulator posted above and see if that does anything different.

Wanted to bump this up in the forum and see if anyone else has figured out a way of getting some new voices on the AVIC. Or maybe "stan-the-man" can post how he did it so that the rest of us can enjoy his hard work and gasp at his great knowledge and intelligance.

Ok, I did what you said and changed the daycar1.bmp and nightcar1.bmp to daycar.bmp and nightcar.bmp but I am still getting the arrow and not the car image. What else do I need to change? BTW...LOVE V4.3!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Love your mods IDT! However, curiosity got the best of me and I installed the Gurjon skin. It was WAY too complicated for me (good mod but too many options to choose from). Anyways, I have gone back to using yours but I can't seem to get your red car back in 3d mode. I have the blue arrow. What do I need to change to get the car image back? I thought I replaced all the files that the other skin had, but apparently not. Thanks for anyone's help. Again, your mod is the greatest!!

You have to fully unzip the data.zip to make the change and then zip it all back together. You can't edit the file from within the zip utility (don't knnow why, it just doesn't work). You may even have to use 7zip to rezip it. Yes the unit is that picky!

So, should I assume from the lack of replies that people are either unwilling to share their upgrade or this method does not work?

Would one of you be able to zip the files together from disk 2 and post them somewhere for others to download? Do you think it would work for other units since you say it dowsn't require any passcodes or keys?

Not really sure. How big is the file? Can you zip it and email it?

Are you going to post the theme so that others may enjoy it?
