  1. Reset the unit with no dice - downloaded the latest firmware (even though it was already installed) and overwrote it.. works like a charm now. So weird that it'd do that, but if I had to do this twice a year I'd be fine with it over replacing the unit. Thanks for the help as always!
  2. Thanks for the suggestion - I'll give these both a try!
  3. Hello everyone, I have an F700BT with the 3.0 firmware that was released last fall approx. My unit has been working great since it was installed last summer. As of yesterday, my AVIC will not connect to my phone via Bluetooth even though it has been doing it flawlessly since it was originally installed. I've tried pairing by every method, deleting the connection from my AVIC, my Nokia phone, turning bluetooth off/on on both of the devices, etc. I'm pretty sure the Bluetooth works on my phone as well since my PC can send files to it still. Is there anything else I can do here? I'd reall
  4. Great, I was wondering about this - my question got lost in the bickering in other threads
  5. Is the 3.0 update not available for Canadians? It's not listed on the Pioneer Canada site, nor can I check out on the USA site with my CA address.. oy.
  6. Is there a way to SHUT OFF the voice guidance when on route? I don't want to hear any spoken directions, I'll look at the map myself periodically. I've tried setting the ATT option to mute, and can still hear the voice. I've also put the voice down to zero in the settings, but the music fades out quickly when the nav voice would be speaking. Am I missing something here?

    Which iPOD

They have a PDF list on the Pioneer website which ones are compatible. Basically anything from the 1G iPod Nano until the latest Touch is compatible. I guess just whatever amount of space you need is your deciding factor - go on the Wiki page for the iPod and see all their capacities and then figure out what one would work based on here. Me, personally I'm going to buy a used iPod Photo/Video with 30GB of space, should be more than enough for me since for the past 2 years I've been listening to regular burned CD's on my stock radio
  8. Well it got fixed, I brought it back and they mentioned about a piece of plastic covering something. I couldn't care less, as long as it was repaired.
  9. The magnetic plate is gone from the bottom if there ever was one. Well I'm 99% sure they messed something up. I just gently pulled the antenna out of the dash and put it out my window and still received no signal after about 30 mins OUTSIDE the car. Plus these clowns ripped my microphone out too so now that's disappeared somewhere underneath my console too. I can't wait to see these guys tomorrow and try and convince the know-it-all installer that he's wrong and did something to screw my antenna up.
  10. If it's seeing satellites though, wouldn't that mean the antenna is working and plugged in?
  11. I've done about 5-10 mins a couple of times - I'll try longer tonight I'm just extremely busy with work right now. I'll try pulling the cable off of the double-sided tape and moving it around to see if I get anything, should results show up almost instantly or would I have to wait a few minutes after relocating it?
  12. So I just had my F700BT installed yesterday, it went pretty well except when I got home I noticed the installer had the GPS antenna coming up through my windshield rubber seal, which could mean over time crap would get in there and rust everything out. GPS was working fine yesterday. I took it back, paid them half an hour to change the antenna to inside the cabin, right in the corner of my window by the drivers side so it wasn't sitting on the roof of my car. Now I get home and my GPS isn't working. The satellite icon has a cross through it on the Satellite Info screen, 3 bars are
