  1. In order to bypass my unit, I used a guide to change the pin outs on the harnesses, thus causing a permanent ground loop to avoid the e-brake hassle. I don't know of any cd image that would help, or why you would want one?
  2. I have an Iphone 3GS and the only way to get it to charge was by finding a kensington 4-in-1 adaptor for the ipod/iphone. It is true that you need 5 volts as apple decided to change the whole format of the charging system in favor of this cheaper design. I managed to find one in the UK on ebay a while back; this has since been discontinued and is hard to find. Aside from all of that, you are better off just charging your iphone with a regular cable and using the 3.5mm stereo jack to the pioneers aux input. The pioneer interface is so slow and clumsy. hope that helps. Will
  3. After many hours of searching the internet and a new subscription to ALLDATAdiy.com , I thought I would try and alleviate any other potential headaches for other owners. For Myself, I knew that the VSS wire went to the radio as it had automatic volume adjusting with the vehicles speed, but no where was any information listed about the 3 unknown wires on my 24 pin radio harness. However I know that the overhead console has the VSS wire for the trip computer (thanks to hours on google).   4. I went to the Canadian Pioneer site, and there is an update listed for the Z3 so that you can install the Gracenote CDDB update. I installed the Pioneer update and then followed up with the Gracenote update and it works like a charm. The update is said to have been made available in February. Hope this helps.
