Just installed this one today and loving it so far! Quick question....I am trying to tilt the map to show the sky....when I press the screen and then press on the arrows it tilts it way down so the roads look flat (as in the example on the 1st page). I want to tilt it just a bit so I can see the sky but sill see all the roads on an angle. Can this be done? Thanks to all of you in advance! --RS

Are you selecting the very top choice? (dsk1: sdmlc disk part00) Did you pick the (format) option when you updated WinCE from the SD card?

Hey, no problem.... I hated driving without music too...tried everything else I read on this forum and nothing worked for me...so i figured ill just wipe that sucker clean and reinstall

You unmount the dsk1: sdmlc disk part00 . Then select it, and press FORMAT After doing that, press NEW to create a new partition. If you look towards the bottom right hand corner of the screen there should be a little icon there...press it and it will bring up virtual keyboard. Name the new partition the SAME way the original was named...so if it was named part00, name it part 00....mine was part0 thats why I put it on there. Look for that virtual keyboard...you should be good!

The two files are there...look carefully...if you download the WHOLE backup from step 1 and sort the files by name, they should be the last two files there. You can format the SD card on your laptop....make sure its FAT32

The password is CaSE sensitive...make sure you put capital A in Avic411

Few days ago I tried to update my Avic F90BT when all hell broke loose. The update failed, and I couldn't get my unit working. It just kept on rebooting....even testmode didnt work. Here is what I did to do a complete wipe and reset back to factory 2.0 You will need a USB drive and 2 SD cards or 3 SD cards. 1. THANK YOU FOR YOUR POST! i just found this 20 minutes ago, but def. appreciate the help. this look promising. yea i was just reading that thread. i found the code to enter and got fully into "service mode". i'm reading now about service mode to see if i can do my updates via the SD card. so far it will not let me because i don't have the files winceimage.bin and winceimage.cks loaded on my SD. i'm gonna locate those files and throw them on there and post my results. i feel like i'm making some headway. My update failed when it was copying files to the unit. I now can't get into testmode...and the unit just reboots. How did you get yours to work?

Same thing is happening with me...only now I can't even get into testmode. The unit just keeps rebooting at the Pioneer splash screen...what do I do?

How are you guys doing? I recently tried to reinstall 2.0 firmware into my device using the HOW To posted on this forum. When I started on the Pioneer upgrade, however, I got an error message from the system. Long story short, I can't get into testmode now. When the SD card is inside, the unit keeps rebooting after the PIONEER splash screen. When the SD card is not inside, it loads up the interface WITHOUT any images and then reboots in 5 minutes. I have tried regular testmode and testmode 2.3...all to no avail. What should I do? Thanks!

Hello...I am new to this forum. Before joining, I had no idea that the F series runs on Windows CE. Here is my problem... Two days ago I turned on my car and the unit started up as at has been all the time. However, it never moved past the PIONEER boot screen. After i turned my car off and back on the volume knob and all the buttons went dim and I got a FATAL ERROR popup box. After pressing OK, the buttons and the know stayed dim, but i had full use of the unit. I have tried rebooting, but to no avail....still no light from the buttons. I then decided to upgrade to firmware 2.0006
