  1. it shouldnt. i have an f90bt with the hardware bypass installed and i have no issues
  2. just did this because I was having problems with my unit after i did the official 3.0 update. my unit was modded prior to my purchasing it and it was not liking the 3.0. everything seems to be working so far with this update. it kept failing the winceimage update from sd format, but i figured that was more because of the fact that i might already have this windows firmware loaded from the 3.0 update. I just paired my phone and transferred contacts and am making my first call: WORKS (status prior: didnt work) Put in my Talking Heads DVD: WORKS (status prior: works) iPod: WORKS (status pri
  3. I've had this issue with my f90bt and an ipod 6th gen 120gb and a 5th gen 160gb. currently i have the 160gb in there and working. the only thing that made it work was having the ipod fully charged when i put it in the car. may have been coincidental, but i'm not willing to take it out to find out. give that a try, its easy and pretty quick. my unit was modded prior to the official 3.0 update and i think that may have been the issue. i'm still gathering information about this, but i think if your unit was modded you needed to wipe the flash drive on the unit before doing the 3.0 update, whi
  4. holy crap! sorry man i didn't check but that is really pricey. wish i had an extra i could kick down. bump for good luck
  5. [*]I haven't had any issue with mp3s cutting out at the end. I do have vbr files on my 2gb sd and they play fine through the end. [*]I can't remember if there is a shuffle. I use my ipod to shuffle my library, sd is just for fresh tracks [*]Startup time has been improved, but it is still too long imo. [*]Playback position is still forgotten, when I start up the car it restarts the track (so lame) [*]FF and RW are still too slow to use while driving. If I were you, I would save my money from the 3.0 update and get an entry level iPod that is compatible with these units. This will fix
  6. eBay! Can't be more than 10 bucks
  7. For anyone having iPod non-connectivity issues with their F Series: Try taking the ipod inside and charging it to full battery capacity before using it with your F Series navigation. I have tried everything but a new cord to get mine to connect, and this is all that has worked for me. I've heard the cord could be the issue and when I looked at my usb connection from the composite a/v cable, it seemed like some of the gold or copper had rubbed off the connectors, but that wasn't the issue. My iPod was connecting just fine for months (I have one for the car and one for walking to clas
  8. I'm having a problem with the bluetooth functionality on my f90-bt. I bought it with 2.0 installed from the factory and the previous owner had modded it, and everything worked great. Then I purchased and updated to 3.0, and everything worked even better, minus the mods that were installed. I did the update as soon as it was shipped, i think it was back in October, but I'm not too sure. I have never had a problem syncing and making calls with my LG Venus with Verizon until about 4 weeks ago. It just stopped working almost entirely - my connection wasn't listed anymore, none of the 3 connect
  9. i fixed this problem on my f90bt with official 3.0 installed by updating the bluetooth with the PRIMARY version found on pioneers's website. hell this even makes the phone ring whereas before the music would go silent but there wouldnt be a ring.so if your bluetooth stops syncing, can't connect or find your phone, or if you dont hear a ring when receiving a call, download the 3 files from pioneer, put them on an sd card, unplug your ipod or usb device, update the bluetooth files and your set
  10. Version: 3.0201 Model: F90BT Legitimate: Yes, SD cards from pioneer. Opinion: A little pissed off for paying the 60 bucks. Pros: - The new interface is easier to read, but some parts i prefer the old look. Like the ipod... - Got to keep my boot screen. Not a huge deal but still nice. - Screen is more responsive to touch, but only after the unit is fully loaded which still takes way too long. -Hopefully the new maps will have some of the newer roads in my area, but i can't verify this as i live and work and go to school in a very old town. -It seems on the couple of calls i've made
