I'd be worried about upgrading the software version as it may lock out your video playback. If you need the east disc in the original version I can help you with that.

I'm not from Toronto but I'll be in Markham & Muskoka May 29 - June 3. I have brand new, sealed original 40 series & 50 series discs available. The 40 series east are versions 1.0, 1.1 & 1.2 & the 50 series is version 1.2. The one you buy should match the west disc you may still have so let me know if these can help & we'll work out a price & a way to easily get it to you.

Please read my previous post above regarding navigation disc updates.

All you have to do is load a newer series of discs. The only issue is that if you upgrade from the 40 series software, the simple bypass of grounding the parking wire no longer works. If you want a newer version of the 40 series software, I may be able to help with that so let me know.

I see the you mentioned Future Shop so let me know if you need any help getting you some discs. I have brand new sealed CNDV-50MT upgrade discs (equivalent to AVIC-D1 software) that I can sell you. That was you don't have to deal with customs & duty from stuff on eBay from the US. Let me know if I can help.
