Since I installed the v3.0 upgrade (purchased from Pioneer) my unit now cold boots every time I start the car. Prior to 3.0 it would just wake up and work instantly. Is this a known problem and is there a work around.

I just received 3.0 from pioneer and I am running it on my f500bt and landmarks works right out of the box.

Ooops, sorry I just answered my question on 7-zip. I will try that and post results. FYI I am using WinZip 12

Hi all, I need some help and I am hoping I can Find it here. First, I have an AVIC-F500bt. I am running the new version 3.0 that I got from Pioneer. I added the code for the Voice Guidance Mute Button. After copying the Data.zip back onto the unit, it starts up and shows the main menu and indefinately displays the "Please wait while the system starts" message. If I click one of the main menu buttons, it goes to the next screen but no further and still displays the "Please wait while the system starts" message. So I commented out the code I added and recopied the data.zip file and the same

Pay for the upgrade and you get a passcode. Software piracy is against the law!!!!!

Sorry to hear you are having difficulty. I have had the opposite experience. I upgraded to 3.0 and I love it. The signboards are awesome. The one problem I am running into is that the unit always does a cold boot when I start the car. Anyone else run into this? I also am seeing the hack posts. Can anyone give me a primer on how to modify/add/ delete features or buttons? Gary
