  1. The directions may be a bit hard to find since they've been on here for so long but rest assured they are around. If you can't find a link to the latest version of testmode then send me a PM. That probably means it's about time to upload them again and I'll be happy to do it
  2. I spent a lot of time looking for this information but with no luck. I finally decided to bite the bullet and find out myself. So for anyone who wants to know how much electricity the unit is using here's the information I gathered and the method I used. I had already installed the unit making it impractical to connect my meter in between the radio and the car hookups so I removed the battery cable and installed it there. To my surprise, my car was drawing 2.8 amps while not running but with the doors open. Most likely a result of internal lights and other systems which activate to kee
  3. It's important to reiterate the difference between Hibernate and sleep since the words are confused in several places on the forums. Sleep is a low power consumption state where the hardware is still running. Hibernate is a dump of RAM to Long-term storage and then all hardware is shut off. The difference is basically speed of reinitialize. Hibernate would do almost nothing for start up time while sleep could make all the difference. A Possible Soultion for Stops Could a smaller 12v Battery (Say a marine battery) be wired in parallel with a toggle switch to the power input of the AVIC
  4. I don't know specifically what you need but if you go through the Upgrade to version 3 procedure again all the files you mistakenly deleted should be copied again. You will have to reinstall any Mods and change any settings but it's a small price to pay I think.
  5. These mods are excellent! My thanks go to everyone who has worked on them. I'm having a similar response on my f90bt 3.01 that dhp did. Any POI icon takes me to a POI menu without the search function and save criteria causes the system to reboot (my CD kept playing so it seems just the display and related processes rebooted) If this is an issue someone has solved could they send me a message. If not, can someone point me in the direction of the file I should go about modifying when I try to fit it myself tomorrow? Thanks, Stevfuri
