  1. The biggest thing for me to get used to is making sure to leave the mode in Navigation right before I shut the car off - due to the change Pioneer made in requiring you to hit the OK button in Navigation mode before VR will work. The 2.03 firmware update fixes the timing issue where you have to do that before any BT hand-shaking takes place. I've read in other posts that Pioneer indicates that this is a "feature," but I would preferred that they would have left that functionality alone like it was in the F90. Another thing I've found is if you disconnect your iPod AND you've disabled the
  2. "Upgradable" means that Pioneer may come out with a major firmware update, of which you will have to pay for (until someone figures a way around it). These firmware updates can have map updates - as in the case of the F90/900 3.0 update last year. That update ran anywhere from 120 - 200, depending on where you got it from. They'll push out free maintenance updates to the firmware. In case of the X series, that was going from 2.0 to 2.003 and addressed Bluetooth and VR issues with the units. Map updates are normally in a major firmware update, which means we're payin' to get it.

    Slide Show?

I'm pretty sure that's not possible. The only capability of customization for a screen image that Pioneer gave us is just being able to change the background splash screen that the unit boots up to. Once the unit is fully booted up, it uses the menu systems or audio apps that are active in the unit. It would be nice to have something like that, though. Tru
  4. Slammed, the preamp harness (one with RCA's and mute wire) is different. I believe the Black power harness (w/ speaker wires, battery, ground, etc) is the same. The GPS antenna has a different plug than the F90 as well, but the microphone and steering wheel control plugs will be the same. As a result, you're going to need to do some rewiring. I'd recommend swapping everything out and doing a fresh install. You're going to be doing over half of it anyways. Tru
  5. Hmmm, it might be only associated to my login ID. Others have posted to keep clicking on the Nav units and/or adding them to your cart. You might get an email from them with your own code. Sorry and good luck, TRU
  6. Amazon IS doing a sale again, but it is only 25% this time and ONLY the Z120 is in the list of qualifying products. The X920BT does NOT qualify for this sale. I just posted this in the thread because others had asked about the Z120 here as well. Sonic Electronix has the X920 for $659 with a $30.00 credit for dash kit and/or wiring harness. That's been the best deal I can find for a brand new X920. Tru
  7. Ah, that makes sense. That would really kill it for me anyway, since I would not want to disconnect the iPod to plug in something else JUST To get Pandora Link to work (assuming I had an iPhone). Now if there were a way to have two devices hooked up to the USB cable at the same time, that might have a little more value. Still don't know if I'd want an iPhone. Most people I know love the device itself, but complain about the mobile service with AT&T. TRU
  8. Got my questions answered - sounds like I could stream Pandora from the BB Tour via Bluetooth, but wouldn't have any control at the receiver. Not really worth it for me to do that. It's pretty much FM, CD, and iPod for me - of which all I really use is the iPod Tru I'd be nice if Pioneer would ever develop Pandora Link to support other smart phones, but I pretty much know that is not going to happen
  9. This is using 25% discount code, and then submitting the $100 rebate Use code 89ANXAWU Cart price will be $1295 - 25% discount (323.75) = $971.25 - $100 rebate = $871.25
  10. New sale from Amazon - 25% off for qualifying products Z120BT is the only Nav unit in the list - use code 89ANXAWU After 25% discount and the $100 rebate, you can get the Z120 for $871
  11. Yep, that definitely cleared it up for me. Thanks, guys! Looks like it's iPod only for me, then. Tru
  12. So pearltt says it does, and vblue42 says it doesn't. Anyone else want to chime in to make it even more confusing? Tru
  13. Did you get this worked out any better, cpk? My X920 will be here next week and I'm starting to get the ducks in the row for installation and what will work/not work. I've got a BlackBerry Tour 9630 and was curious if it will work with the X920's PandoraLink or not. I thought I saw another post where they could get sound, but nothing on the X920 screen. Any update you could provide would be appreciated! Thanks, Tru
  14. Which sale? The Amazon deal is dead for now, but cpkdude always posts new discount codes if and when he gets them. Sonic still has the X920 for 659.00 TRU
  15. As someone else posted, you do get the $30 credit for a dash kit and harness - provided they have/make one for your car. They will only credit $13 on the dash kit, but if they have one that's slightly more they'll just make you pay the difference. Their price on the iPod cable is pretty reasonable too. All in all, it wasn't horrible getting it from them but definitely would have been sweeter to get the rebate. If the rebate would have worked, I might have actually stepped up to the Z120. I did try to negotiate, but wasn't able to get any more out of them as they still had the best pric
