alright, thats what i thought but when someone told me otherwise, i second guessed myself. appreciate the quick reply. now i that i think of it i believe that was an issue with kenwoods awhile back

i heard a rumor you couldnt add XM sat and HD to the unit and u had to do one or the other, or there was another external antenna you have to use to get them both to work on the unit can any1 confirm or deny this rumor? im putting this setup in a customers car this weekend so i need to make sure i didnt promise something i cant deliver, or if i need to get another part i can get it ordered

in the mustangs, u need to put a 6k ohm resister inline with the remote turn on wire to get rid of that pop when the factory amp turns on

if your going to do any kind of system in it, definately go with the z110 because the x only has 2v preouts and the z has 4v preouts

so is it not possible to have the camera pull up full screen like on kenwoods where u hold nav button for 3 seconds and the camera comes on, full view i might be making this up, but for some reason i remember a rearview button on the top right of the source screen of the F series to pull up the camera

or you can get PAC's newest interface harness, the OS4. its the same as OS3, but updated. swc are plug and play, no need to find factory wires and do your own rewiring, gives u reverse, speed sense, parking brake (like anyone uses it), and everything u need right at the harness you will have to do an amp bypass if ur adding an aftermarket amp. im not completely sure on where the amplifier is located, cant recall atm, but you have to tag all your speaker wires there, not behind the radio or else youll be sending an amplified signal through the bose amplifier

use a multimeter, test light, or power probe. something that reads voltage if u dont have a multimeter, places like sears where i live have cheapo ones for like 15 bucks that will work fine just testing voltahe

i work for a car audio shop, so it wasnt mine i just worked on it, but he left the stock speakers in there, and i used a PAC os2bose onstar / bose retention harness, and it worked perfectly, sounded fine.

my z110 is on order, and i was wondering if there was a way to customize the background of the home screen and the source screens. i looked through this forum, and i looked into the customize wallpaper forum but i didnt see anything about it

i installed one in an 09 z06 last weekend, sounded and looking amazing. if you have any questions, i know that car like the back of my hand

i work at car toys and i lucked out and ordered mine for 400 as well. only downside is it takes 6-8 weeks to ship, but i definately cant complain.
