i had the same thing happen to me. Also double check all the files are in the "testmode" folder on the SD card. I had a corupt file. i redownloaded all the files into the "My Flash Drive" on my Avic unit. then this is important hold the reset button for 5 seconds then let go. when you boot it again make sure the SD car is removed or it will just boot into test mode again. The reason it is a black screen is because you updated the Windows CE and there isnt any information in the MY FLASH DRIVE folder to tell the system to boot. Thats where the MY FLASH DRIVE firmware update proceedure comes in

just finished the update.the only issue i had was i forgoti had my ipod plugged in. once i unplugged it everything worked great thanks for the up date.

ok so i got my GPS to work. i just flashed it using firmware 3.o which i downloaded from this site and i changed the speed limit for the parking brake to 128 in the pioneer_ini file. Now when i hit the expressway it gives me the warning that something wasnt properly connected but once you hit ok its does nothing to effect your radio or the navigation. This should help out

i like this theme its pretty sick man. I was wondering if there is a way of changing what something says. Like the top menu. could i change that to like just pontiac so it can match my car. I kind of dont need the nav to tell me im on the top menu. Hopefully i can figure that out bymyself lol

so i have finally had a chance to get into the modding portion of the AVIC-F900bt and now i cant stop. I have changed the main page and even the icons in the top left corner of the screen when you are listening to the SD or Watching a DVD. The only thing i cant seem to change is where is says "TOP MENU". im not sure where that is located. When happy modding to all. i will try and up load a video of my creation when it is complete

well i figured my volume problem. when i took unit apart to check connections i hit a switch and now that's fine. but my GPS portion of it still still garbage

hello everyone. i just started hacking my f900bt. is the a way of change the font and possible text colors. also is there a way to change what thins say. like the first screen says top menu. is there anyway to change that? Thanks guys for any help

so i have a avic-f900bt and just updated it with the 2.06 firmware. before i attempted this i had a problem with the GPS resetting my unit while i was in motion. So i figured the firmware would help. WRONG not only is the gps not working now my volume knob doesn't control any volume. it allows me to skip tracks, voice command, and all othe functions with the knob. But the volume is out of the question.
