Placing a coil and capacitor in the power line to your amp should help. Alternator is usually the source of the variable noise. (Not sure about the hiss.) The coil (or choke) will go in series on the positive line to the amp and helps smooth any micro voltage variants that cause noise. The capacitor will go in parallel with the amp and knocks down any RF in the line. As I recall I bought a kit with the coil and capacitor that was specifically for this purpose. Sorry I don't have/remember the values for the components. Should be easy enough to find and take care of the noise for very low

Sorry to say I have not been able to make this work. (USB:UserData\iGo\Save\points.upoi) Device did not show any items in -->Destination Menu -->USB/SD -->from USB -->(0/0)

Can anyone describe the file layout on a storage device (USB/SD) and file format for importing POIs to the device? I know that splash screens go in a folder named "Pictures," is there a specific name for the folder where POIs will be found? I have no way to run AVIC Feeds software and am trying to import some custom points. POIFriend exports .kml files for the F- series but directs users to Feeds-SW to format them for use. I have GPSBabel+ but do not know which file format to export. Any help is appreciated.

Video is fairly good through direct inputs. A/V input requires the 4 contact connector; tip and 2nd segment are audio, third segment is ground and base is video. I seem to get a buzz when I connect video only, no matter installed or on batt. (Could be my source: Nikon Coolpix.) I have the parking brake indicator grounded and get the "distraction warning" when the car begins to move. Seems only to require the warning once per startup, perhaps again if you toggle the A/V input. Rear-View works as well but the "Mirror Image" disclaimer is annoying.
