  1. I tested my mic on a computer and it worked fine. Somehow the software muted mic input on its own one day and I haven't been able to figure out how/why.
  2. I'm curious as well. As I said in my post I was using an HTC Hero at the time. I have yet to try my HTC EVO 4G to see if maybe it was a software conflict that arised after the update.
  3. Out of curiosity, what type of phone are you using? I was using an HTC Hero. I now have an HTC EVO 4G but haven't reconnected the microphone and paired the phone yet. I'm hopeful, albeit not optimistic that it will work and maybe the problem came from a coincidental phone update around the same time...
  4. I'm curious what the results of new mics were. I have the F700BT and stumbled upon this thread while trying to diagnose my own very similar problem. My mic just stopped inputting one day, literally the day before I had perfect BT calling. I removed the mic and attached it to my computer. I was able to use it through my computer, so the mic is functioning, I just get no input (call or voice command). I can hear the other side of my calls fine. I've deleted my paired devices, re paired, etc several times. I'm to the point now that I'm curious how the mic is wired in to the unit, and if it might
  5. Same problem on my F700BT. I've tried reinstalling 5 or 6 times, I've also gotten a fresh copy of the install files and still no luck. The microphone itself works fine, I checked it on my computer. I'm at a loss. Not sure if maybe there is something internal that could have come loose. Sorta hesitant to open the unit up and look.
  6. I have discovered that my microphone is not inputting to my F700BT anymore. I confirmed this by trying to use the TTS control screen to change sources, songs anything and it fails everytime. During phone calls I can hear the other person perfectly fine, but they cannot hear me. However when I disconnect the call the other person does here some "open circuit static" for a moment before the call ends. I disconnected the microphone and plugged it into a mic input on my computer. Using Windows Sound Recorder I was able to hear myself crystal clearly, so the microphone is functioning perfectly.
  7. Well in my problem I loaded the "bootleg" version. I've reinstalled it 5 or 6 times each time the microphone still wont work. Meanwhile hundreds if not thousands of other users have installed the exact same file without problem. Any ideas?
  8. Having a heck of a time trying to figure this out. I updated my firmware using RETELL's FX3.1 firmware copy/upgrade. Transfer worked perfectly and everything seemed golden (working without a hitch) except when I made or received a call using the bluetooth the person at the other end could not hear me. First thing I tried after that was to use the TTS commands and the stereo did not hear my commands. On a whim I checked the wire and it was not plugged in. I figured ok dummy, and plugged it back in. Figuring now it should work I placed a call, STILL no one can hear me, but I can hear them pe
  9. Happy New Year Still no luck getting my microphone input to work. Was hoping that by now maybe someone would have some thoughts for me. I've redone the entire firmware copy at least 4 or 5 times now. Each time everything seems to be working fine except I do not have any microphone input on my unit (bluetooth or TTS). Any ideas? (Yes it plugged in, checked it twice) On a side note my GPS antenna seems to not be getting as good reception as it used to in the exact same location its been for six months or better. Ideas?
  10. Did you ever figure out what caused your microphone to stop working?
  11. I'm going to assume you've already figured most of this out since its been a year. The onstar retention adapter is a GMOS unit. There are a couple, you should look for the phone that will be compatitble with your year. A short search on google for gm onstar retention adaptor should lead you in the right direction. After you have a part number you can price shop. I don't remember where I ordered mine, but it cost me about half of what they are asking these days. I have heard that you can splice into the the onstar microphone and it will work, however I have not tried this. I personally
  12. Alright, so I've read this entire thread two full times and skimeed several more. I've searched all forums only to see a couple people ask nearly the identical question and not get any response. So I figured the only thing left for me to do is ask myself. I just did the firmware copy, instructions walked me through flawlessly. Boot up time was incredible, reaction time and functionality fantastic. Even the random time where the back button takes you to the phone settings isn't a big deal because it rarely happens and if you hit back again most of the time it takes you to the main menu anyw
