Anyone? --------- The F500 update looks like it updates the AVIC s/w and iGO s/w only. It does not contain any firmware (WinCE) update. I will download the x710 update and check the contents. But I don't think you can use the s/w update without firmware update.
  4. You can search the forum and find what you need.. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=27581&start=30#p206352
  5. I downloaded it today. But haven't had time to load it yet. Give it a try. http://gpsunderground.com/forum/showthr ... re./page25
  6. So far, I have not had any issue running EU firmware on my UC x710BT unit. I had one short road trip to seattle outlet last weekend. Everything worked just fine. AM/FM is working, navigation worked great. If you're worried about it, just use the firmware that's included in fx3.1 or other v3 dump. I think it's slightly older than one included in EU 3.020200.
  7. No, I don't have any issue with AM/FM. Not sure what you mean by Vidion visioning issue.
  8. Looks like 18,733,836 bytes Here it is: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ynzzaol4lfj/Originals.zip Thanks, it looks like we're using same version.
  9. f500 and f700/900/x710/x910 uses different WinCEIMG. One you're talking about is for f700/f900/x710/x910.
  10. I will check with my copy when I get home. You have F500BT, right?
  11. I used to this tool to add Korean fonts to WinCEIMG. Now, I don't have to worry about losing the fonts altogether. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=31938
  12. The WinCEIMG that you're using, what's the size of original bin file? I'm not so sure if I have the latest version.
  13. Just hold down the map button and it will bring the brightness control menu. There isn't any contrast configuration.
  14. here you go.. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=27581&start=30#p206352
  15. Another thing I noticed with x710 is that audio source volume is different depends on the source (CD, MP3 (USB and SD), FM, and AM). CD is the loudest, so I adjusted with HLA(?). Also, the system sound volume differs MP3 (USB/SD) vs CD/FM/AM. I think it's due to WinCE handling the multiple WAV/MP3 playback (system sound & MP3). Oh well... overall it works great. I'm pretty happy with it.
  16. So you extract the WINCEIMG.BIN and WINCEIMG.CKS files from the zip, then mod it with the tools of this thread? I thought that Pioneer will require some kind of activation of something, unless the activation doesn't apply to the WinCE, but only the iGo software and maps. Can anyone confirm this? . WinCEIMG doesn't have any activation. Just get the files PLT folder.
  17. I used the latest from Pioneer UK. http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/support/sof ... download_7 It worked without any issue at first trial. I'm pretty happy with it.
  18. It works with x710BT WinCEIMG. I modified the fw 3.02.200 (for x710BT) image and loaded to my unit. It works great!! I don't have to worry about lossing the Korean font now.
  19. Yes, I figured out late last night. I removed IE zone settings as I wouldn't be using any internet connection. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\3] It worked out great! Now, I don't have to worry about booting to TestMode to install Korean fonts. YaHooo!!! Now, I have to modify x710BT WinCEIMG. Thanks, EEGeek!!!!
  20. I'm getting this message. "The generated binary registry file (default.fdf) is bigger than the original, remove items from the registry and try again".
  21. Hi EEGeek, I'm trying to add Korean Font to WinCEIMG and I'm not having much success with it. I have following registry entries and font file. It seems that total size was too big. Is it possible that you could help me with it? Thanks, REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink\SkipTable] "Tahoma"="005c,00a5,007e,0391-03c9,2026,2116,221a,25a0-25ff" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink] "Symbol"="\\My Flash Disk\\Data\\Mappyfon.ttf,SKCC_Gothic" "Courier New"="\\My Flash Disk\\Data\

  23. It seems it got better now. I don't notice it much. btw, I do not have factory amp.
  24. Mine also auto-connects to the last phone. It's quite anonying to change to the driver's phone every time. I hope Pioneer fixes this BUG!
  25. Since you're using ND-G500 amp, it will mute any output from your car stereo in order to put F500 output. However if F500 is playing MP3, it will not mute the mp3 when it give you the nav guidence. btw, I'm not using ND-G500. I use the 3.5" output from the cradle directly to (by ground loop isolator) car stereo's aux-in.
