  1. Whats the deal with the Sync Tool when I go to the settings in the navi screen? Does that allow you to update the maps and POIs? Is it released yet? And also anyone hear of any FW updates coming soon?
  2. Where do I begin? The most annoying issue is when I am using car play and I use the phone, when the call ends, it switches to USB music (iphone) and plays the first song in my song list EVRYTIME! I am tired of hearing the beginning of A-HA- Take on me! The keyboard on the navi system doesnt always work. Takes 2-5 presses of a letter to type on screen. Car Play stops working, have to reboot unit and phone. Audio sometimes doesnt come thru phone call in car play. Unit reboots by itself sometimes. Navi map takes a long time to load (spinning circle). One good thing I can say is that when
  3. Anyone connect an Apple TV 3 to their unit? I am probably one of few that have done so. Anyways, I have noticed with IOS 7 on the ATV, the HDMI works fine. An ATV with IOS 8, I only get the top left quadrant of the screen. Anyone experience an issue like this or with another device hooked up via HDMI? Problem happenes on my Z150 and NEX 8000

  5. Airplay and Carplay do not work together. I have an Apple TV 3 plugged into the HDMI port and when I enable Airplay, it does not work. It just returns to the Carplay screen.
  6. Happens for me too. I think the reason being....The power going into the DV adapter is to power the adapter itself. It also sends some power to the phone. If i am correct, when you disconnect the power to the adapter it does not work. When you use the adapter to play video, the phone is working harder to convert and render and things like that. Playing music is not hard on the cpu like video is.
  7. Press the mode button.... Download appradio extensions from cydia on JB phone...
  8. Is there a way to do a complete backup of the Z150? Like settings, stations, etc...
  9. Sponsored competitor? I love Pioneer units and have had nothing but. You are being an idiot and i'm just saying how can they advertise that the unit works with the IPhone 5. They didnt mention you have to WAIT for a firmware update. You werent pissed off when they said you have to wait longer for the firmware? I'm not the only one. Everyone that "likes" them on Facebook was also pissed off.
  10. I got it for $839. I got confused with selling my z140 for 670
  11. You dont have to buy the kit. Get a female to male usb extension cable and plug it in to the back of the unit and buy a cheap hdmi cable. Works same way
  12. The phone charges slow. The lightning usb is meant to power the DV adapter. Phone will charge faster if you shut the screen off.
  13. Also you may want to look into the bluetooth settings on the head unit and make sure you have the app mode checked for the phone you are using. I have 2 iphones and found that you cant just switch from phone to phone when using appmode. The head unit can only use one phone. You can pair multiple phones with it but everytime you switch to the other phone, you have to change the app mode setting under that phone you want to use in the bluetooth settings on the head unit.
  14. Tried it out. Freaking awesome! I don't know if you are supposed to touch your screen on the head unit instead of the iphone because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. But this is a great addon
  15. Paid $670. I didnt say i paid 1200. MSRP is 1200 so its a 1200 radio.Phone has been out since November.. Not new anymore. And when I bought the radio it states that it will work with a firmware update. They didnt mention the firmware update isn't availible. So you get real
  16. Can we disable the caution nag screen like on the earlier units?
  17. you have to use the app carmediaplay with the lightning adapter and an hdmi cable. They were too lazy to implement the iphone and ipod as a source and made it so u have to use an app to play music
  18. From Pioneer's Facebook page: To our customers awaiting the iPhone 5 related firmware for our 2013 In-dash DVD receiver and Navigation products: We sincerely apologize for the delay. As you all are aware, the iPhone 5 has a native screen resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels. Pioneer AppRadio and AppRadio Mode products have a native screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Therefore, each app must correctly resize when displayed on the Pioneer in-dash unit. Unfortunately, the current version of one of the most commonly used AppRadio compatible apps is not resizing correctly. This app developer

  20. AR? Will it work with an Android now?
  21. Great!!! Are you 100% positive? And we do need the new firmware update to enable the port?
  22. As far as I know, the HDMI port is used with the DV adapter for the Iphones. Now, when the FW update is released, is the HDMI port going to be used as a seperate AV input just like the composite inputs? If not, will it mirror the Iphone screen or will it list in file format of the videos on the iphone? If it will list the video files, do you think we can use it as a seperate input? Maybe a hack or a "tweak"? Having it as a seperate input would be great.
  23. Or just connect it to the black wire which is ground. They all go to the same place....
