Google these two files. 411_500_3.0.part1.rar 411_500_3.0.part2.rar. Download and copy over the new maps. It has the new ezrider and all you need. Just copy over your licence and maps. Hope this helps.

First of all you don't need to install the wince upgrade. More complicated for nothing. Did not see a difference. You need to download the files in the f500bt 3.0 upgrade thread. You probably downloaded the 2009 maps and all you have to do is before you copy over apl2 folder to gps, replace the map, poi and building folders from the new maps. Oh ya don't forget to download the world licence and copy it over to the lice

I would not try to update wince on those. You can update the maps thought. I'm almost sure that wince version is just for the f500. You may find one on here somewhere thought. Have to look arround. P.S. just did a search on this site and found an update for those gps's. Good luck. I don't have any experience with those so I can't help too much. Just read all the post first and then only if you feel confortable that you know what you are doing you can move forward.

Are you saying that the version of wince in not showing up on the gps after update. If so all you need to do is copy the apl folder from where ever you got your new igo from. I'm guessing you just copied over the apl2 folder to your gps right. It will then show up. No big deal thought. It is still updated even thought you don't copy the apl. P.S. I hope you don't plan on using leetlauncher now. It will not work with the new wince.

Yes that is normal. I you want it to show up as updated, copy over the apl directory from the x910bt dump and it will show new firmware.

Download the file listed in this post and then get to the service menu hold Power and Reset for 5 sec. Passcode is MAP,MAP,MENU,Enter (center of joystick),MENU,Enter. Once in Service Menu the reset button is the only way of navigating. Short push move through options. Push and hold for 1/2 sec selects option. You will figure out what to do from there.

Parruso what are you trying to do. Update wince or get new maps. You don't realy need the new wince. Download the new maps. This is the wrong thread for that. Go to complete 3.0 install guide and rwad on. Lots to read. I had to do it. Read all of it and you will figure it out. You will not mess up your gps if you understand how it works. Take your time and read. I can't give you all the steps. Ask a question in that thread if you don't understand afterwards.

Only download the wince update from the Russian site. The rest you can figure out how to download from here.

Warning to anyone wanting to upgrade to wince 6.5.0.6 posted above. Leetlauncher will not work after the update. I don't know why but it will not boot. That is ok though.

Thanks for the reply. I think wince has to be on the flash drive. Where else would it be. It is just hidden somehow.

I have just updated wince to 6.5.0.6 and have the 2009.6 maps for canada and us only. I also do not have any other mods installed. I checked with testmode 2.3 and only have 7.5mb left of free space. Can any body with a f500bt check to see just how much room you have left. I would not think that the new wince would take that much room on drive. Also can I delete anything on here to make room. I would like to install Diafia's mod but don't have enough room. Maybe delete some files in the poi folder. I live in canada and have no need for the us ones. I tried to delete a couple of us maps but it w

Just read everything in this thread. Yes you lose everything on gps. You need to make a backup first. Not hard to do at all. Can't really mess it up. Easy fix if you do. I have been playing with it for a week now. I think I got it just the way I want it now. I do find now that I have only 7.5 mb left on gps. I did not check to see just how much I had before. Hope someone can check on theirs to see how much room they have.

Well I upgraded th wince 6.5.0.6 and all went ok but did not notice any difference. Anyone know a way to check what version installed. Maybe something in testmode. Where does wince reside on the f500bt.

That zip file can't be wince. It is only 18mb. You would think it would be larger unless this only updates wince. Who is going to try this out first.

No that is not it. I have that installed. We need the actual sd backup with the new wince on it.

All you have to do is download the new maps, download testmode 2.3. Then unzip content of testmode to sd card and copy over maps. Then when testmode starts up, go into file manager and delete the maps from the apl2 folder. Don't forget to do a full backup first. The directories you need to delete and copy over is map dem and poi. I have it working just fine on mine.

Mine came with the large cable, cigarette lighter adapter and an ac power supply. I use the cigaretter lighter adapter to use in other vehicles.

If you are scared to mess up your system, use leetcauncher. It will boot off the sd card. Nothing gets copied to gps. It will not void warranty. Just read the threads.

That is good to know. This way you can't mess things up. Just setting thing up now.

One thing is unclear to me. I just bought a f500bt and I just created this sd card just like talked about here. If it works as stated above and if I was to turn off gps and remove sd card, will it be back to normal. Does this all work off of the sd card or does it get copied onto the gps. THNX

Anybody know of a good place to buy the qcgm-2 adapter in canada or maybe cheap in the us.
