  1. For anyone down in the States who's interested the Z110BT software upgrade is available from Pioneer Canada for $149.00CDN + $10.00 shipping. It appears to be the exact same product as Pioneer USA is selling and includes all the US maps. So if you have friends in Canada this might be a better deal. I had problems ordering through the online store but you can call direct at: 1-866-562-7093
  2. This is an issue with Pioneer's software not the iPhone or the iOS. I'm using an original iPhone 2G with iOS 3.1.3 and before I update my Z110BT software to 2.0 I was able to sort contacts on the head unit the same way as the phone (First/Last). Since the upgrade to 2.0 the unit now sorts Last/First even though the iPhone doesn't sort contacts that way.
  3. I've played around with the unit a bit more and it's a software issue. Is there anyway of getting an Authorized dealer to reload the software on the unit? I know my brother had a similar issue with his Pioneer and he was able to find the software he needed. He reloaded the software on the unit and all was well. I really don't want to have to pull the unit from my car and wait three weeks because of a stupid software issue. Is it possible to ask Pioneer to send an SD Card with the software on it?
  4. So I've had the unit installed in my car for about a month after three months of having the unit sit on my floor cause I had to order special parts for my install. This morning my iPhone 3GS suddenly would not connect to the iPod interface, it was greyed out and not set in the iPod control mode. I cleaned out the connecter and it made no difference. I figured I would solve the issue later, I wasn't to worried because I could listen to XM. Anyways, tonight I went out with my girlfriend and the unit started to freeze up at the home screen. I decided to reset the unit using the "reset" and "e
  5. I have a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro with the Connect2 box for the CAN-BUS system in the car. When I originally hooked up the Z110BT to the Connect2 box under the settings menu it would report the Illumination as being "on" regardless of the fact the headlight were off, turning them on made no change. This means that the unit is always stuck in night mode. So I decided the Connect2 box was defective and I hooked the Illumination wire directly into my headlight switch (blue/grey wire) using guides from the Audi forums. I also checked the voltage and confirmed that it was at 0V with the headlights
  6. None of the places I found online will ship this item to North America. Does anyone know of any other places to pick this up or know of another product that will provide the same ACC, Illumination, Reverse and VSS wires? Perhaps PAC product?
  7. Only problem seems to be that this won't provide ACC and Illumination. From what I understand without the ACC the radio won't turn off with the car and without the illumination wire the unit won't know to switch into night mode when the headlights are switched on. Still very interesting that Pioneer makes a CANBUS adapter, had no clue. Here's the manual : http://www.pioneer.be/files/eur/car_acc_db/CA-R-PI015_R10526-08.pdf Seems to provide the illumination signal. I'm sure you can get the switched +12 from elsewhere in the car, one of often used places is the cigarette lighter ed

  9. I finally received my AVIC-Z110BT head unit and XM add-on the other day for my Audi A4. As it turns out it seems that I need a CANBUS adapter to provide ACC, VSS, Reverse and Illumination to the Pioneer HU. After speaking to multiple shops and searching the Internet I'm left rather confused as to what I need (or if I need it) to complete my install. None of the shops I talked to knew, they said very few people add aftermarket HU to Audi's. My Car is a 2003 B6 Audi A4 1.8T non-Bose with the Symphony II head unit currently installed. I have the following things for my Installation: P
