  1. Yeah, that is bad, because you can hear constantly glitches. Additionally, you can no longer control the player with the steering wheel mounted controller!
  2. You guys don't forget to download the TTS PRO package from ryar's original thread. You can then clean it to have only the language of your choice in order to save disk space.
  3. Long enough here for me, even my two kids are starting to ask me why I'm always in this forum, and "chat" with people that I don't know ... not a good example for them, especially I deny their accesses to such forums! I will be wandering around though, but one thing for sure: to support Primo, you're the star now!!! And if you don't mind, I suggest keeping all the discussions here from now on, so we can make all info available within one single place.
  4. Ovalball, you know how to go from iGo to Primo, and to switch back to iGo, you can use Primo's tool to scan external program and you will find an item called "CwGoIgo8.exe": just click on it to go back to iGo. However by doing so, all the hard keys will no longer be mapped to iGo after iGo started, just like the same issue with Primo because it has to be linked by MainMenu.exe in order to communicate together (during initial loading). Maybe ryar will do us some magics and make the connection!
  5. Sorry but given the lack of time in my life , I don't intent to continue to mod, hope that you'll learn that yourself to modify the UI script files, you will see, it is not that hard. Or else hopefully some other forum members can lend a hand to you.
  6. patper, sorry but I'm not sure that I understand well your statement.
  7. Sorry to hear that but that must be something with your unit! If you have a friend having the same AVIC, try your installation procedure over his unit, just to see.
  8. The only problem that I've encountered is that the sound quality is sometime mediocre at best with the Primo MP3 player.
  9. Ovalball, hope that you like the new setup! ryar has succeeded in mapping the iGo8's maps files, POI files, building files and DEM files to Primo within SYS.txt, so I will let ryar trying to answer your question.
  10. Adam, Looks like most people are comfortable with YELLOW ... I'm sorry but I don't have lot of time. If you know a bit how to edit the UI files under "\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\DATA.zip\ui_pioneer\800_480\ui\*.ui", change all occurrences of "color=#f8cc28" to "color=#ff0000" to switch all YELLOW to RED. If you want to do it selectively, you may want to look at navigate_800_480.ui and chuck88_800_480.ui. You can use WinRAR to open DATA.zip and edit within WinRAR, then save back to DATA.zip when prompted. Good luck!
  11. Chuck88's Nav Mod v3.4 with Primo v1.2 posted! See the first post in the link below for direction and download. Please to refer to http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/29851-chuck88s-igo-nav-mod-v34-with-primo-v12-updated-2011-10-05/page__fromsearch__1.
  12. Chuck88's Nav Mod v3.4 with Primo v1.2 posted! See first post for direction and download, and link to ryar's Primo thread. Please make sure that you read the precisions in first post before proceed to copy files and ask questions. Thanks!
  13. Hey folks, Chuck88's mod v3.4 with Primo v1.2 is coming its way! Stay tuned ... Chuck!
  14. Open SYS.txt and edit the first couple of lines to remove the semicolumn ";" in front of the line identifying your european AVIC device, and put a ";" on the others.
  15. If it was working with Diaftia's mod, then it should work with mine. Foreign language fonts are installed into Windows folders, not the iGo folder, so their existences are completely independant. Try to make it works with any mod, then retry with mine. I'm 100% affirmative of with this. Let me know and good luck.
  16. Hey ovalball, long time indeed! Nav N Go has released iGo8, then Amigo for 2 or three years, and then Primo now at v1.2, which is more advanced then what we have now in our unit ... you got the pictures. I will just release my v3.4 linking to Primo, which will be a complete standalone installation. So if you don't like Primo, just disable it in the Custom Settings. Primo shouldn't change anything in the current iGo installation, as I configure it, so you will not mess with your unit ... I don't have lot of time but I believe that ryar will continue to assume the support for Primo.
  17. Are you talking about the YELLOW color, but not the ORANGE color?
  18. Well, for my part I never tried iPod ... so please post results. Thanks!
  19. Hey fusion600, as for the sound, read back a couple of pages and you will find out why. You have to have either iPod, SD or USB music playing to get sound from Primo. Please read! Cheers!
  20. ryar, you deserve everything on all those findings and it is a pure pleasure to give full credits to you, and thank you for the new command (double-taping on MAP button). Just FYI to ease future changes, I move and rename the Primo\Extension folder to iGo\Extension\Primo, so everything that are needed are under that folder, so the Primo folder will be standalone (except the Primo SYS.txt file) and modifications will be made only the the iGo\Extension\Primo folder. I will upload my mod v3.4 when I have a chance!
  21. Hi ryar, I would like to release my mod v3.4 to include link to Primo v1.2, and give you full credits for your excellent works in the "About" screen of my mod (already there). I will also provide link to your thread so you can support users if you have time, hoping that this will bring up more traffic to this dying site (we know all that iGo8 is old stuff now). Could you please just confirm the correctness of the settings in the attached zip file that I am currently using? It works wonderfully for me, except some audio gimmicks (screens, buttons etc). Thanks, Chuck. My Flash D
  22. Does your WinCE support natively greek characters? I don't have expertise in this area so I can't really be hlep ... maybe some other members do. Try to open a new thread under "Hacks/Mods" section and ask your question. Thanks!
  23. Hi manthos16, if you are talking about the greek language, then yes, provided that you have the specific words in the mod translated. Somebody did it already for the french speaking thread post. If you are talking about the voice, you have to find one from other forum and store it under the CONTENT\voice folder, then select it from the interface. Cheers!
