  1. Please don't get confused with Pioneer AVIC firmware (FW) v3.0 or v4.0 and my iGo8 mod v3.0 and the latest v3.3. You don't need FW v4.0 to running my iGo8 mods. It seems that there is very little change between FW 3.0 and 4.0. I have FW 4.0 and frankly, I can't really tell the difference. So just read the first post and install the latest mod 3.3.
  2. I believe that you cannot run my mod in WinCE 4.2, but only in 5.0. You would also have to upgrade your F900BT to firmware 3.xx or 4.xx in order to use my mod. Sorry but I don't have the CE image for v4.2.
  3. Thanks ryar. I looked at the "About" screen and Primo's version is 8.5.11.161797. And yes, looks like GJA is the modder's initial. v1.2 should be his mod too. Maybe if you use the v1.2 and your saved folder, all your options should be also available?
  4. ryar, I have no more sound in Primo, not even the key click sound! Not sure if I have to "Reset to Default" or delete the SAVE folder ... any hint?
  5. This is Jean-Louis' personal work, "borrowed" from abb's, but not public.
  6. What is GJA stands for? Do you know what Primo version that you posted? Latest? So no more sky in 3D!!! Abb1 will not be happy with this one .
  7. No problem at all, only that a new thread would be a logical choice. I tried out Primo today and it is much more smoother. I can also see that the underlying architecture of the UI programming remains the same, so if one wishes, he can modding Primo just as iGo8. For the time being, I don't like the color of the map, too dimmed; and the fact that when the destination is reached, you have to cancel the countdown timer or else, the program will exit automatically. BTW, with my X710BT (or F7xx or F9xx or X9xx I guess), I have the sound from the car speakers when no route. When I hav
  8. Hi ryar, It is indeed very interesting what you managed to find, and sure it will breath new life on our aging AVICs. However I would recommend you to start a new thread as the Primo's executio, by first killing iGo , will supersede the original intent of this thread. Of course you can post a link here to your new thread for this interesting finding, and I will follow that myself. BTW, your idea to use another button to bring up Primo would good but the MAP LONGPRESS is currently used by Pioneer to set the LCD brightness, so have to find another mean ... Best, Chuck.
  9. You didn't mention what FW you have on your AVIC. Please note that there are files for FW 3.01xxx and FW 4.01xxx in the first post.
  10. You have to delete the basemap.fbl file. Only put one .fbl file in the map folder.
  11. Woowww, nice achievement! Please be free to share with others, as I did since the very beginning. Looks quite interesting so please provide more insight. Why is Primo better than iGo 8? Sorry I am just back from vacation and I don't know about the PM issue. You might want to PM an administrator of this forum.
  12. Look at this line #78 in chuck88_800_480.ui: ;CURRENT SPEED/TRIPCOMPUTER <TEXT xxx template=xtxt x=590 y=45 z=100 w=105 font="tahoma" align="right" fontsize=40 color=#f8cc28 glowsize=1 textmodel_wstr="navigation.current_speed.full_text" onrelease='NEXTSTATE st_DigiSpidometr'> Cheer!
  13. Hi Neale, For your question #1: no problem, compatible provided that your AVIC has firmware 3.01xxx and higher. For your request #2: here is what you have to do. I do request you to report back your results as it is possible that iGo cannot share the GPS data with your OziExplorerCE. Thanks! 1) Create a new folder called "iGo\Extension\OziCE" and copy all your OziCE program and data files under it, with original folder structure. 2) Extract the ui.zip attached-here (you will find two files for v3.3). 3) Create a new folder called "iGo\ui_pioneer\800_480\ui" and copy the tw
  14. I'm of the same advise, since you would have to recode all the low-level drivers, ALMOST as much as what the folks at Pioneer have done to the WinCE 5.0 to bring the AVIC to the market!
  15. Windows CE is not an OS that makes distinction between lower and upper case characters in file names. For your issue, make sure that folder "MapChanger" is under your "\My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\Extension\MapChanger" with appropriate files on it.
  16. Good to know that you are enjoying it. Your feedbacks are always appreciated! I would help as much as I can, but having less and less time now. But you can always ask question. If I don't have answer or time to answer, maybe some other members do. Cheers!
  17. Hey, I modified the chuck88_800_480.ui for you so that you will have a darker background for info of the upper-right corner and, when in navigation, the background of info shown on the upper-left corner, so you can read better. Extract the ui.zip in this post. I also attach herein navigatemap_800_480.ui that you can modify by yourself to whatever color you want. Please look at lines 441 and 442, text sprNMINextStreetName and sprNMIActualStreetName, the current yellow color is coded as "color=#f8cc28" in hexadecimal. So you can change the HEX code to whatever is suitable for you and save
  18. I am running Pioneer latest FW 4.001000 with my mod just fine, without any issue.
  19. Bandit972, peux-tu SVP me revenir là dessus plus tard? Merci d'avance!
  20. Hello, v3.3 was released on the 15th of July. It is much more than seeing the sky during SmartZoom, but the my own SmartTrack is a breakthrough in 2D navigation.

Read the first post of my mod for greater details and enjoy if you want to use it!

Dear chuck i lost my way to find things on the forums . 4001 do we have some trouble ?

  21. My slim schemes are derived directly from abb's, so they can be used interchangeably. Here is what you have to do: Install my schemes with GFX folder as instructed in the first post (8 MB or so). Copy abb's own GFX folder to APL2\iGo and overwrite any existing files of my GFX folder (> 120 MB to copy). Copy abb's own schemes into the CONTENT\SCHEME folder; they have different names than mines. Note that you are NOT modifying the DATA.zip file, but just files copying outside of it. That's it! Enjoy!
